Provisioning and Logistics, Delhi
Provisioning and Logistics unit earlier known as Old Police Lines and later on Provisioning and Lines, is one of the important units of Delhi Police. Presently this unit is being headed by Joint Commissioner of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, Delhi ( First Appellate authority) assisted by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, Delhi ( PIO/P&L) and Four ACsP including one woman ACP who are looking after the work of ACP/M.T./Mounted/ APIO/P&L, ACP-CSA/Kot and ACP/ Lines, DDO /HQ). Office of this unit is situated at 5, Rajpur Road, Delhi-110054 nearby District Courts, Tis Hazari and Secretariat of L.G., Delhi.
Being the procurement unit and not a public dealing unit, this unit has significant role in Delhi Police. In addition to various administration branches as in other Distt./Units there are some important branches/ sections functioning in this unit like CSA Branch ( Central Supply Agency), CSA General Store, CSA Clothing Store, Armory, HAMT, M.T. Operation, Central M.T. Workshop, Mounted Police and Auction Branch.

CSA Branch
CSA Branch of this unit deals with the purchasing of various items like Uniform articles, Machinery and Equipment, Arms & Ammunition etc. for entire Delhi Police after completion of all codal formalities by floating open/limited tenders as the case may be. The items so purchased through this process are to be supplied to the Distt./Units of Delhi Police as per their requirement through CSA General store, CSA Clothing Store and Armory.

HAMT Branch
HAMT Branch of this unit deals with the purchasing of all type of vehicles, Tyres, Tubes, Spare Parts and Batteries etc. after completion of all codal formalities by floating open/limited tenders as the case may be. The vehicles so purchased through this process are supplied to the entire Distt./Units of Delhi Police in compliance to PHQ’s order as per their requirement through M.T./Operation/ P&L. Other items like Tyre, Tubes, and Batteries are supplied to Distt. /Units as per their requirement through M.T./ Store.

E-tendering
The e-tendering system has also been introduced by this unit w.e.f. 14/08/2013 for the purchase of above the amount of Rs.10 lac in the procurement system of Delhi Police. In this system the on line tenders are invited through Central Public Portal e-tender System website http://eprocure.gov.in

Central M.T. Workshop.
Central M.T. Workshop is also functioning within the premises of this unit which provides all possible help to the entire Delhi Police by way of repairing of vehicle by the M.T. Staff posted in this unit.

Mounted Police
Mounted Police is also the unique section of Delhi Police which is functioning under the administrative control of this unit. Presently there are 50 mounts at the strength of this unit, which are stationed at four various location of Delhi for the fulfillment of the requirement of concerned Distt./Unit. Bela farm near I.T. Park Shahstri Park is also under the control of Mounted Police which is to be utilized for the exercise / practice of Mounts as well as their riders.

Auction Branch.
This branch deals with the items which are got condemned by the various Distt./ Units of Delhi Police and items related to 66 DP Act. These items are disposed off by way of auction after completion of all codal formalities as per rule/norms on the subject

Petrol Pump
A Indian Oil Petrol Pump is running in the premises of this unit which provide the Petrol and Diesel to the Vehicles of RAC, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim Police and L.G. House in addition to the vehicles of Delhi Police.

Pollution Centre
An on line Pollution Centre connected with State Transport Authority of G.N.CT., Delhi is functioning in this unit. In this centre the pollution status of all type of light petrol vehicles of Delhi Police have are checked. However, the pollution checking of Diesel vehicle of Delhi Police is being got done from the out sources on regularly by he concerned Distt./Unit at their own level.

Sampark Sabha
|
To redress the problems of the police personnel of this unit a Sampark Sabha is being organised on monthly basis under the chairmanship of DCP/Prov. & Logistics, Delhi who listens their problems/grievances of all the police personnel who come forward and raises the points relating to their problems/grievances. Necessary clarification is sought from the concerned Branch In-charge on the spot. Thereafter, Branch Incharge are directed to take up the matter on priority. In case the problem pertains to other Distts./units the copy of minutes are being forwarded to the concerned Distt./Unit with a copy to PHQ for taking immediate necessary action.
