Las Mujeres (Mexican Women of Different Generations)
Artist Franciso Mendoza was commissioned in 1993 to transform the CTA’s Pink line station by painting a mural depicting Mexican women of different generation including a Mayan princess.

The JDEF Peace Project Mural
This mural was dedicated to innocent victims of gang violence.Jeff Maldonado Jr. aka J-Def was a Hip Hop artist. He was killed one day after his 19th birthday, July 24, 2009 on his way to his first public performance. His music reflected the joys and dangers of the Pilsen community: peaceful and artistic unity instead of senseless gang violence.
