Databases allow users to search and research over 68,000 full-text journals and 230,000 ebooks.



ABI/INFORM Complete-ProQuest: The most comprehensive ABI/INFORM™ database, this comprises ABI/INFORM Global, ABI/INFORM Trade and Industry, and ABI/INFORM Dateline. The database features thousands of full-text journals, dissertations, working papers, key newspapers and magazines such as The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and the Economist as well as country-and industry-focused reports and data.

Academic OneFile-Cengage/Infotrac: Perfect for research libraries, graduate schools, universities and community colleges, Academic OneFile is a sophisticated, current and easy-to-use resource for extensive research. With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full text, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly. Academic OneFile includes: More than 14,000 titles, including more than 9,000 peer-reviewed journals and more than 6,000 in full text, Full text of The New York Times from 1985 to present, Links with JSTOR for archival access to periodicals and Open URL compliances for access to e-journal and subscription materials.
Academic Search Complete-EBSCO: The world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc.

The Digital Library offers full-text access to journals, magazines, conference proceedings, newsletters, multi-media files, ACM affiliated publications, and ACM Guide to Computing Literature.
Agricola - EBSCO contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Coverage for AGRICOLA dates back to 1970 and includes more than 4.8 million citations. The citations are comprised of journal articles, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture.
AHFS Consumer Medication Information is a trusted source and recognized standard for patient drug information, available in both English and Spanish. Published by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, AHFS includes more than a thousand drug information monographs written in lay language for consumers and has been a Top Ten Award Winner in the Department of Health and Human Services National Consumer Education Materials Contest. This content is updated monthly.
AMS Platform provides a single point of entry to all e-journals. The A-to-Z Title List, E-Journal Portal can direct patrons to the full-text resources of the Library. Patrons can search by title of journal or subject and the AMS Platform will direct you to the appropriate database. AMS also includes freely available journals.
Art & Architecture Complete - EBSCO provides full-text coverage of 380 periodicals and more than 220 books. In addition, this database offers cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 780 academic journals, magazines and trade publications, as well as for over 230 books. Art & Architecture Complete also provides selective coverage for 70 additional publications and an Image Collection of over 63,000 images provided by Picture Desk and others.
Bentham Open: Bentham Science Publishers launched more than 250 peer-reviewed open access journals, under the banner of "BENTHAM OPEN". These free-to-view online journals cover all major disciplines of science, technology, and medicine.
Biology Journals-ProQuest provides access to a wide range of biology topics. The database includes over 420 titles, with more than 390 available in full text.

Business Source Complete-EBSCO This is the world's definitive scholarly business database, providing the leading collection of bibliographic and full text content. As part of the comprehensive coverage offered by this database, indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals back as far as 1886 are included. In addition to the searchable cited references provided for more than 1,300 journals, Business Source Complete contains detailed author profiles for the 40,000 most-cited authors in the database and full text articles to over 10,000 serials.
Cambridge University Press: Full Text and bibliographic access to e-journals related to engineering, architecture, computer engineering, mathematics, agriculture, animal science, aquatic sciences, ecology and environmental sciences.
CIAO (Columbia International Affairs Online) is the most comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.
CINAHL Plus With Full-text is the world’s most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 770 journals indexed in CINAHL. The database also provides full text for more than 275 books/monographs. With full-text coverage dating back to 1937, CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature.
Classical Music Library Classical Music Library is the world's largest multi-label database of recordings for listening and learning in libraries. Coverage of repertoire is increasing as new labels are added (currently over 32 labels) with a particular focus on contemporary music and women composers.
Communication & Mass Media Complete - EBSCO provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. CMMC incorporates the content of CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association) and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Penn State) along with numerous other journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study to create a research and reference resource of unprecedented scope and depth encompassing the breadth of the communication discipline. CMMC offers cover-to-cover (“core”) indexing and abstracts for more than 570 journals, and selected (“priority”) coverage of nearly 200 more, for a combined coverage of more than 770 titles. Furthermore, this database includes full text for over 450 journals.

Computer Database-Cengage/InfoTrac Use this database to find computer-related product introductions, news and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications and the application of technology. Hundreds of full-text journals available.
Computers & Applied Sciences Complete–EBSCO covers the research and development spectrum of the computing and applied sciences disciplines. CASC provides indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,200 academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources from a diverse collection. Full text is also available for more than 1,000 periodicals.

Computing-ProQuest is the premium resource for those who need access to comprehensive coverage of computer topics. The database includes over 500 titles, with nearly 400 available in full text.
CountryWatch is an information provider for schools, universities, libraries and individuals who need up-to-date information and news on the countries of the world and for the public and private sector organizations with global operations and interests.
CyLaw is a legal information project that was set up in February 2002 by the Cyprus lawyer Laris Vrahimis to provide free access through the internet to the Cyprus legal materials that are at any time publicly available in electronic format. The Cylaw database contains all judgments issued by the Supreme Court of Cyprus since 1997 as well as most civil appeals and first instance judgments issued by the Supreme Court in 1996. Cylaw includes all Cypriot judgments that are of any authoritative value that were issued from 1997 onwards. In total, the Cylaw database currently contains about 8.600 judgments. Cylaw also includes the Civil Procedure rules.
Cyprus Legal Portal

Apart of providing easy access to several topics and links of primary interest to users with a special interest in Legal matters is also the host of the two large subscription-based databases of Legislation and Cases of the Republic of Cyprus.



I. Legislation:

A. Index to the Laws of the Republic of Cyprus: Includes the following:

1. Index of all the Laws of the Republic of Cyprus (Appendix One, Part I, and III

and Appendix Seven)



2. Index of the Subsidiary Legislation (Rules, Regulations, Orders, etc) of the Republic of Cyprus (Appendix Three, Part I)
3. The Indices are updated with the release of the official Newspaper of the Republic (Gazette).
B. Text of the Laws of the Republic of Cyprus:
Text of all the Laws of Appendix One, Part I and selected laws of Part III and Appendix Seven. In the case of Laws with amendments, a team of lawyers consolidates them to enable the user to have the applicable updated and consolidated version of the Law.

II. Cases:



  • All the cases contained in the 24 volumes published prior to Cyprus being declared a Republic (1883-1959)

  • All the cases of the Supreme Constitutional Court

  • The entire published collection of the C.L.R. reports (1883-1998)

  • All released but yet unpublished cases of the Supreme Court (1999-todate)

Directory of Open Access Journals This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals.
Dissertations & Theses Global Full Text (Proquest) is the world's most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses from around the world, spanning from 1743 to the present day and offering full text for graduate works added since 1997, along with selected full text for works written prior to 1997. It contains a significant amount of new international dissertations and theses both in citations and in full text.
Documents British Policy Overseas is a fully searchable collection of primary source documents from Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, shedding light on diplomatic history throughout the twentieth century. It is based on three distinct print series which form a record of British peacetime diplomacy since the end of the nineteenth century: British Documents on the Origins of the War 1898-1914, Documents on British Foreign Policy 1918-1939 and Documents on British Policy Overseas. Documents are selected and edited by the official historians of the FCO, with many documents specifically declassified for inclusion. The DBPO database is produced in collaboration between ProQuest and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

EBSCO Academic and Business e-Books Collections This subscription package contains a large selection of multidisciplinary eBook titles representing a broad range of academic subject matter - from business and science, to engineering and humanities. More than 130,000 titles are included in this package.



Education Journals-ProQuest gives users access to over 830 top educational publications, including nearly 660 of the titles in full text. ProQuest Education Journals covers not only the literature on primary, secondary, and higher education but also special education, home schooling, adult education, and hundreds of related topics.
Education Research Complete-EBSCO: Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,100 journals, as well as full text for more than 1,200 journals, and includes full text for more than 340 books and monographs, and conference papers.
Emerald Management 200 publishes the world's widest range of management and library & information services journals, as well as a strong specialist range of engineering, applied science and technology journals.
Environment Complete - EBSCO contains more than 2.4 million records from more than 2,200 domestic and international titles going back to 1888 (including over 1,350 active core titles) as well as more than 190 monographs. The database also contains full text for more than 920 journals.
ERIC the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. The database contains more than 1,300,000 records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

European Library The European Library web service is a portal which offers access to the combined resources (books, magazines, journals.... - both digital and non-digital) of the 45 national libraries of Europe. It offers free searching and delivers digital objects - some free, some priced.
European Union Law: EUR-Lex provides direct free access to European Union law. The system makes it possible to consult the Official Journal of the European Union and it includes inter alia the treaties, legislation, case-law and legislative proposals. The site offers direct access to the latest issues of the L (Legislation) and C (Information and Notices) series of the Official Journal, together with the previous 10 days’ issues. Entering the date and the publication reference, allows direct access to a particular issue of the Official Journal. Lastly, there is the possibility of consulting the issues of the Official Journal made available online since 1998.
Food Science Source - EBSCO is an extensive full-text database designed to support the informational needs of the food industry at all levels. This collection offers unmatched full-text coverage of information relevant to many areas that are integral to the food industry. This database offers cover-to-cover full-text coverage for more than 1,400 publications, including journals, monographs, magazines, and trade publications, all directly dealing with food industry-related issues. More than 1,000 key food industry and market reports are available.
Health and Medical Complete™-Proquest combines the clinical research titles available in ProQuest Medical Library™ with hundreds of additional consumer and health administration titles. ProQuest Health and Medical Complete provides in-depth coverage from over 1,780 publications with over 1,550 available in full text and of these, over 910 include MEDLINE® indexing.
Health and Wellness Resource Center-Cengage/Infotrac provides instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference materials. Includes nearly 400 health/medical journals, hundreds of pamphlets, over 700 health-related videos from partner Healthology, Inc., and articles from 2,200 general interest publications in addition to a broad collection of Thomson Gale reference titles.
Health Source: Consumer Edition – EBSCO is the richest collection of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines.
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition – EBSCO provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features the AHFS Consumer Medication Information, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.

Hoover's™ Company Records-Proquest is a valuable resource for academic libraries. Users can integrate business information from one of the world’s leading electronic distributors of information about companies, industries, and the people who lead them. Featuring profiles of more than 40,000 companies, 600 industries, and 225,000 key executives, Hoover's Company Records provides easy access to the most thorough and up-to-date business information available.

Humanities Abstracts (H.W. Wilson) – EBSCO provides detailed indexing for almost 700 periodicals covering the humanities—of which 470 are peer-reviewed—dating as far back as 1984, including feature articles, interviews, bibliographies, obituaries, and original works of fiction, drama, poetry and book reviews, as well as reviews of ballets, dance programs, motion pictures, musicals, radio and television programs, plays, operas, and more.
Humanities International Complete – EBSCO provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index (more than 2,300 journals and more than 2.9 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases. The database includes full text for more than 1,200 journals.
IEEE Xplore Digital Library

  • IEEE Proceedings Order Plan (POP) includes access to the AbstractPlus records and select full text published since 2005.

  • IEEE All-Society Periodicals Package (ASPP) includes access to the AbstractPlus records and full text published since 2005.


InfoSci-Online The InfoSci-Online database, published by Idea Group Inc. (IGI), is the most comprehensive collection of full-text literature available in the fields of information science, technology and management. Information covering research, trends, technologies, challenges and other topics is available at the click of a mouse in the form of thousands of searchable documents from IGI publications.
International Index to Music Periodicals Full Text-Proquest: A music journal resource with more than half a million indexed articles, plus detailed abstracts and full text from 1874 to current, covering the scholarly to the popular. Articles examine the full spectrum of subjects and all aspects of music, including music education, performance, ethnomusicology, musical theatre, theory, popular music forms and composition.

L'Année philologique – EBSCO published by the Société Internationale de Bibliographie Classique, is a specialized bibliographic database of scholarly works relating to all aspects of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. Its subjects are Greek and Latin literature and linguistics, including early Christian texts and patristics, Greek and Roman history, art, archaeology, philosophy, religion, mythology, music, science, and scholarly subspecialties such as numismatics, papyrology and epigraphy. With over 810,000 records, L’Année philologique includes citations to journal articles and books, with abstracts in English, German, Spanish, French or Italian.
LexiComp Online offers access to a collection of clinical databases and clinical decision support tools (5-min consult , LexiDrug , Martindale and Facts and Comparisons)  that provide users a comprehensive medical library. The content is classified into six main categories: Drugs, Diseases, Toxicology, Patient Education , Laboratory, International Drugs and provide access to Interaction, Drug Identification, Calculator , Toxicology,  Drug Comparison Reviews, Comparative Data Tables, Patient Education and much more information.

LexisNexis Academic provides access to full-text news, business and legal publications, using a variety of flexible search options. One of the most heavily used databases in higher education, LexisNexis Academic is available to nearly 2,000 libraries serving over 8 million students and faculty. It is a standard element in many research and information literacy programs.  Access over 10,000 news, business and legal sources. The outstanding news coverage includes deep back files and up-to-the-minute stories in national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news and non-English language sources. Use the included LexisNexis Company Dossier module to retrieve detailed company information and financial performance measures or identify and compare companies matching specific criteria. This product also provides access to the renowned Shepard's® Citations Service for all federal and states court cases back to 1789.


LexisNexis JurisClasseur: Access to over 4 million documents: ​​the French and European official sources, consolidated by LexisNexis JurisClasseur encyclopedias, magazines LexisNexis, more than 2 million legal decisions and JurisData, bibliographies and legislation.

LexisNexis Library is available in a single resource, the Legal Collection is a unique service providing access to an extensive range of commentary, legislation, cases, current awareness and materials including a catalogue of undisputed leading titles such as Halsbury’s Laws of England, All England Law Reports, Harvey on Industrial Relations, De Voil Indirect Tax Service and Simon’s Direct Tax Service and Company Law Tracker.

MEDLINE Complete provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. MEDLINE Complete uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 5,400 current biomedical journals. MEDLINE Complete is also the world's most comprehensive source of full text for medical journals, providing full text for over 1,800 journals indexed in MEDLINE. Of those, more than 1,700 have cover-to-cover indexing in MEDLINE.
Naxos Music Library Naxos Music Library is the most comprehensive collection of classical music available online. It includes the complete Naxos, Marco Polo and Dacapo catalogues of over 85,000 tracks, including Classical music, Jazz, World, Folk and Chinese music. Whilst listening, you can read notes on the works being played as well as biographical information on composers or artists in Naxos's extensive database.
NetAnatomy is designed to teach human anatomy to students of the health professions, including undergraduate medical and health sciences students. NetAnatomy also serves as a place to review anatomy after one’s initial exposure to the subject, e.g. students beginning a clinical rotation, USMLE (National Board) preparation, etc. Its use in the early years of various residency programs has also been established. Includes images, review tests, short explanations and more.
Nomiki Bibliothiki: Greek legal portal offering access to full-text law journals.
Nursing and Allied Health-Proquest is complete, full-text information from leading nursing, allied health, and related publications. Designed to meet the needs of researchers at health-care facilities as well as students enrolled in nursing and allied health programs at academic institutions. Provides abstracting and indexing for more than 1,015 titles, with over 860 titles in full-text, plus more than 12,300 full text dissertations.
Oxford Art Online offers access to the most authoritative, inclusive, and easily searchable online art resources available today. PsycARTICLES-ProQuest is a database of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APAs Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & HuberMost. Most of the 63 APA journals included in PsycARTICLES now go back to volume 1, issue 1. The earliest journal is Psychological Review, which was started in 1894. The database also contains journals that are no longer published.

Sage Premier offers access to 630 full-text journal titles.
