“Some months ago E. Walter Clark gave the city a large tract of land at Wayne avenue and Logan street as a play ground, and he is now having it fitted up to be the best equipped playground in Philadelphia.” Is this it?

|
A.M. Harrington (not M.A.) and he was the treasurer of Edwin Harrington & Son & Co., Ltd. Arthur (though he was always listed as AM in the directories) lived at 821 Westview St.
(A.M.’s brother (I think) was Melvin H. and he lived for a time at 112 West Upsal, then by 1926 had moved to 1016 Westview. He was president of the company. Might be worth checking out those two addresses)

St Luke’s book: in the fall of 1892, the St. Luke’s clergy started providing services in Olney, as “St. Alban’s Mission” – it was successful, so they purchased a lot, “measured” the lot in 7/1897, and the church – St. Alban’s – opened on 12/31/1897. In 1907 it became an independent parish.
