MEDIA ADVISORY / PHOTO OPPORTUNITYVincent Maione of Atlantic City Electric Region of Pepco Holdings Inc., to Receive “Neighborhood Hero” Award from NJ SHARES Tomorrow, June 26th, at 9:30 a.m., Vincent Maione, President of Atlantic City Electric Region of Pepco Holdings Inc., will receive a “Neighborhood Hero” award from NJ SHARES at Atlantic Electric’s offices located at 5100 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ. In celebration of NJ SHARES 15th anniversary, the organization has selected a number of companies that have supported its mission since their inception and honored them with these “Neighborhood Hero” awards. NJ SHARES is a statewide, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides grants to pay the energy and utility bills of households in need, through the support of its donors and a statewide network of more than 270 community-based social service agencies operating out of 324 sites. Through education, information, referral, advocacy and community outreach NJ SHARES connects low and moderate income households with available resources. Visit www.njshares.org for more information.

As of July 2013, NJ SHARES has provided 177,000 households with $70.7 million in energy assistance. The NJ SHARES Client Services Call Center was established in 2005 and aids more than 150,000 households annually in enrollment services. In addition, NJ SHARES provides weatherization, conservation and efficiency information with our 300 plus partners around the state.
