“Everyone on the Leadership Atlanta selection committee is an alumnus of the program. We look forward to meeting applicants we have only learned about from a nomination or application form,” said Charles S. Johnson, 2006-2007 Leadership Atlanta chair and partner, Holland & Knight, LLP.
Applications for the Class of 2008 will be accepted until Jan. 10. Selections are made by the end of April.
The eight month program – from October to May – identifies and cultivates leaders and provides a comprehensive educational forum to enhance the capacity of informed capable citizens committed to using their talents and positions to improve the needs of the Atlanta community.

A class of approximately 70 participants is selected annually. It is composed of an accomplished group of men and women whose collective background reflects the diversity of metro Atlanta. The year begins with an orientation session in June, followed by a two and one-half day retreat in September. From October through April, participants attend monthly, day-long programs designed to give them exposure and perspective in a variety of areas such as criminal justice, poverty, education, and race relations. All sessions are designed to be highly interactive, educational and thought provoking. Participants are expected to share their unique experiences and to learn from one another.
