"Once you have mental health condition, you can never fully recover" This is not true.Mental health problem is not a "life sentence"[6].Not all mental health conditions result in outright display of madness. There are many types of mental health conditions(stress, depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, etc.) and many people fully recover from them with adequate treatment. "Mental health conditions are personal and do not concern the medical school"[7] A problem shared is a problem half solved. The medical school needs to know about any conditions that can affect your performance.Hence,It will be able to put in place measures to help you excel in your studies. When you keep on bottling the problems within yourself, you will end up losing your sanity and your cherished future prospect.Don't lose guard. "Stigmatization of people with mental health conditions" A lot of terms are used to describe people with mental conditions in Nigeria.-Psychopaths, Crazy beings, mad fellows, the possessed… Most times,They are often stigmatized and treated like outcasts in society where they reside . Society has to have a change of mind so medical students can freely seek help without fear of being stigmatized.
