Income: The median Income of households in Georgia was $45,604. Eighty‐three percent of the households received earnings and 15 percent received retirement Income other than Social Security. Twenty‐three percent of the households received Social Security. The average Income from Social Security was $12,432.

Housing Costs: The median monthly housing costs for mortgaged owners was
$1,206, non‐mortgaged owners $307, and renters $709. Thirty‐two percent of owners with mortgages, 13 percent of owners without mortgages, and 48 percent of renters in Georgia spent 30 percent or more of household Income on housing.
