ADX Control App for Android and iOS Devices LEXINGTON, KY – To simplify setup and enhance operation, Audio Authority® introduced a control app for their matrix preamps, Models ADX-0808 and ADX1616. The company recently released a similar app for their flagship SF-16M matrix amplifier. Tony Ferrero, Sales Manager at Audio Authority said, "Depending on the install, this app could save you a couple of hours of work. It’s a simple user interface for situations where no other controller is required, but it’s also a useful tool for integrators, even when the final control method will be a third party system like Control4 or URC. For example, the installer can fine tune each room using a 10-band EQ, or, even apply a low-pass filter with the app. Those features are not usually available in third-party control systems, but it’s easy to do this kind of advanced setup with the app while you walk through the zones." The app can be used on up to four devices at once. Basic features include source selection and volume control, and users can also adjust audio settings with any of the ADX DSP tools including bass/treble, low-pass/high-pass filters, or a 10-band parametric EQ. Low-pass and high-pass filters make it easy to incorporate passive subs into the architecture. In addition to the new ADX app, compatible third party systems include Control4, URC, RTI, and CasaTunes. Its open control architecture allows automation systems to communicate with the ADX via serial or Ethernet. Audio Authority also offers a full-featured setup utility for Macintosh or Windows® computers, capable of adjusting every ADX feature, from creating Groups and Favorites, to configuring network settings. The ADX control app is available in the iTunes App Store, and for Android users, on the Google Play Store.
