Analysis
Positives: Has good body structure and development throughout his frame...Does a nice job of closing the cushion and creating space up field, using his burst to threaten the defense on deep routes...Has a sharp change of direction and explosive quickness... Gets separation in and out of his cuts...Will make the tough catches in the crowd and is quick to tuck the ball away and head upfield after the reception...Can adjust to the high and low tosses, tracking the ball properly in flight, doing a good job of snatching over his shoulders...Watches the ball in and extends his hands to pluck the ball...Makes a good effort to run after the catch...Goes all out when asked to serve as a blocker or decoy.
Negatives: Needs to use his hands better to get a better release off the line, as he tends to leave his chest too exposed to defeat press coverage...Has a drop step in his release and shows a poor stance at the line, lacking good body lean to get into his routes suddenly... Despite his speed, he is not elusive with the ball...Jumps well for the ball, but misses some, as his timing appears to be off...Will body catch some...Give good effort as a blocker, but he is more of a waist-bender who drops his head upon contact...Takes a false step before accelerating...Tends to lose his confidence after dropping a pass...Needs route refinement, as he gets too upright in his stance.

Unheralded athlete who seemingly came out of nowhere (did not make the 2001 TCU Football Media Guide) to earn the team's MVP honors as a junior...His greatest strength might be his ability to adjust to the ball while it's in the air...Known for his excellent work ethic and great attitude, he gets the most out of his ability and has dedicated considerable hours to getting stronger in the weight room...Began his career at Mifddle Georgia...Made 82 catches for 1343 yards (16.4 avg) and seven touchdowns in 22 games for the Horned Frogs.

Analysis
Positives: Well-built with long arms and classic knee bend...Shows the quickness releasing off the line to easily fight through the press...Crisp in running his routes...Does a nice job of working the sidelines and maintaining balance while going for the ball in traffic...Uses his hands well to escape the jam and gets a good push off the defender going up for the pass...His short burst generally gets him behind defenders...Solid upfield blocker.
Negatives: More of a body catcher than one that will extend for the ball...Seems to shy away from contact a lot, especially when going over the middle...Lacks the juking and dancing moves to elude defenders after the catch, rather relying on his quickness to escape...Not natural with his hands, preferring to let the ball come into his body...Needs to do a better job of attacking the ball, as he will not compete with defenders in traffic.
