Analysis
Positives: Muscular athlete with above average quickness and balance...Shows good straight-line acceleration and burst through the holes...Hits the holes hard and shows good vision to elude tacklers up field...Gives solid effort as a blocker, exploding through the holes when leading for the tailbacks...Also effective making the cut blocks working in space and can be dominating sealing defenders off at the point of attack.
Negatives: Has inconsistent work habits...Not a "team" player earlier in his career, but became more compliant later on...Lacks the top-end speed to be consistent as a runner on the perimeter...Rarely used in passing situations and does not show the natural hands needed to pluck and snatch away from the body's frame...Lacks awareness picking up the blitz, looking unsure of who he should block...Gets taken off his feet too much as a lead blocker, causing the rushing lanes to clog...More of a high contact and push-type blocker, who despite his size, does not appear natural playing the fullback role...Needs reps and special attention in order to digest plays.
Career Notes
Well-built athlete who began his career as a tailback before shifting to fullback in his sophomore year...Was supposed to be the team's featured back in 2002, but was relegated to blocking duties...Finished his career with 202 yards and seven touchdowns on 73 carries (2.8 avg) and nine receptions for 53 yards (5.9 avg).

Analysis
Positives: Tall, lean and muscular, with good acceleration on deep routes...Can easily track the ball in flight, twisting his body to adjust to the ball at its high point...Comes off the snap with arms extended to defeat the jam and uses his strong leg drive to break arm tackles after the catch...Has excellent jumping ability and will generally win all battles with the cornerback to get to the ball...More quick than fast, but knows how to set up his moves to con the defender and shows excellent open field elusiveness...Has the speed to consistently separate on vertical routes...Good stalker who delivers crunching crack blocks for the rushing game...Works well with the quarterback, sensing pressure to come back for the under-thrown ball...Patiently waits for blocks to develop as a kickoff returner and has the sudden moves and hip swerve to make the initial tackler miss...Effective at picking up the blitz in pass protection...Good worker in the weight room with the leg drive to drag tacklers for additional yardage.
Negatives: More of a vertical threat, as he does not run precise underneath routes (rounds his cuts and takes false steps)...Can separate from the defenders with his short area quickness, but lacks top end speed to blow past the cornerback on his release...Has a good work ethic, but needs to stay more focused when not involved in the play (loses sight of the ball)...Must wait until he has the ball properly secured before heading up field (tendency to fumble) and must concentrate on the ball better (drops the easy passes by attempting to run before having the ball tight in his hands)...Must do a better job of sinking his hips when working on crossing patterns and curls (too rigid in his stance).
