Analysis
Positives: Has good football intelligence and is a tough competitor who will play in pain... Effective inside runner with good vision and a quick burst through the seam...Has adequate speed and good playing strength, with the ability to run through arm tackles... Runs adequate pass routes, showing awareness on middle curls, flats and swing routes... Shows good quickness out of his stance, playing with good tilt and a low pad level...Hits creases very hard, lowering his shoulders to get the tough yardage...Has enough hip wiggle to slip some tackles...Aggressive cut blocker who will face up to the defenders in pass protection.
Negatives: "What you see is what you get"...Nothing special or flashy about this athlete, just productive...Lacks top size and speed...Lacks the nimble feet and juking moves needed to elude...Strictly a one-speed rusher with an inability to bounce outside and once he breaks into the secondary, he does not have the quickness to go the distance...Has to gather himself in order to make the high speed cuts...Body catcher who would rather cradle than reach and pluck for the ball...Has marginal balance and body control in the second level...Runs marginal pass routes, lacking the second gear to burst past defenders after the catch...Despite his inside running skills, he is not the type of back that will run over defenders...Struggles to catch outside his frame and make body adjustments.
