Note: <888> 10/11/12 Thursday 5:05 P.M. I went outside, and I threw out the garbage. I chatted with neighbors. I delivered a UPS package to a neighbor. UPS no longer delivers packages to the apartment front door, but leaves them in between the two front doors of the building. The building custodian told me, he wants the ceiling people to do my apartment soon, so he can clean up this area of the building before they go into another area. However, the ceiling installers told me they would do it at the end of the project, since my apartment is more complicated. Thus I am getting conflicting messages from different groups of people. I picked up the mail. I went back outside, and I got the long grey three cable extension cord out of the trunk of the Audi. I put it on the top shelf of the right living room closet to have available for ironing clothes. CIO

Of course the only public presence they have had in Greenwich, Connecticut years ago was Golf & Country Club - GreenwichCC where they could meet with other families like the Vanderbilts from Vacations at America's Largest Home in Asheville, NC| Biltmore who also restored their Carriage House. I guess the boys are so busy milking cows over there, they have lost track of the larger picture. CIO

Note: <888> 10/11/12 Thursday 1:30 P.M. I woke up, and I ate a day old muffin and a couple of bowls of Lay's salt and vinegar potato chips. I woke up again about 10 A.M., when an associate called up to discuss the insulation and ceiling tile replacement in my apartment. They said they would talk to a Greenwich Housing Authority representative and get back to me. I finally woke up at noon. I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and milk and sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, a 12 ounce glass of watered down punch, and a cup of coffee with Splenda sweetener and milk. I washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed. CIO
Note: <888> 10/11/12 Thursday 3:00 A.M. I watched Series 2 Episode 3 of "Sherlock Holmes". Well not much happening way out here in the boon docks of Greenwich, Connecticut. However, some people like "Peace and Quiet" as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the Big City Life a little ways to the West of Us. Still we do get a lot of traffic moving further east to the even simpler life further out in Connecticut. I was against all of the Office buildings being built in Greenwich when it was discussed back in 1974, and it was explained to me, they would pay enough taxes, so the long term residents would be able to afford to live here. Of course with the inflated value of residential real estate and the very high property taxes, I am not sure how many of those long term residents managed to survive in this area. Still I try to be diplomatic with the new comers, since more than likely the same will happen to them some time in the future, as they become accustomed to the constant rise of the Cost of Living in this area. In the old days, when we could afford property, we did quite a bit of gardening. Now that I am absented minded blogger on the internet, I keep waiting for some sort of brain storm that I can write about. Greenwich Avenue really does not have much to write about, since it is mostly a daily transient group of people checking out our various shopping venues. The women particularly like to shop until they drop, since they do not seem to have anything else to do. Having grown up in matriarchal family I know that. I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO
Note: <888> 10/10/12 Wednesday 11:35 P.M. About 6 A.M. this morning, I could here emergency vehicles outside the building where I lived, but there were no alarms inside the building. About that time I ate a day old muffin. CIO
Note: <888> 10/10/12 Wednesday 11:10 P.M. I do have another long heavy duty extension cord in the lower storage area of the trunk of the Audi. I will get that out some time to have available for ironing. I do not feel like going out at night anymore, when there might be mountain lions around, and also the higher prices of fuel Greenwich Gas Prices – Find Greenwich, Connecticut Gas Stations and Cheap Gas in CT at Automobile Magazine limit the amount of downtown Greenwich Avenue observation and exercise walking that I can do. The Sharp convection oven would not work at first. I finally determined it was its power source. I disconnected it from the power strip, and I used a long three cable orange extension cord to plug it into the center kitchen counter electrical outlets, and it now works just fine. I keep the long orange extension cord in case I have to ever iron clothes, so I need to get another one in case I ever iron clothes. CIO

Note: <888> 10/10/12 Wednesday 2:55 A.M. I turned off the Router, so in rebooting the FIC server with the latest updates, the Netgear Storage device would not interfere with the FIC server booting until I turned off its software in Services. McAfee total security had expired on the first and second IBM ThinkCentres, so I uninstalled it, and I put Microsoft Security Essentials on them using the Microsoft Windows Firewall. Basically eight of my 10 computers are backup computers that I use for beta testing various operating systems as they become available. I have them all backed up to external hard drives, so I can return them to working condition after I use them for beta testing. I have not tested the new version of Ubuntu, but I currently do not have a computer available to put it on, since I need to keep my primary configurations. For some reason the FIC server with Vista Ultimate takes a long time to boot up, but Vista was always a slow starter. I think I might have a Windows 7 Server program, but possibly it might be a Vista 7 Server program, but I like running the server with the IIS server from the regular operating system, so I can use the other programs with it. I transferred the TV connection to the Sceptre TV which is now connected up with the Epox computer for viewing internet content on the HDTV. I still have three new Seagate 300 gigabyte hard drives in reserve for my primary work computer, and I also have two new spare 160 gigabyte hard drives in reserve backup for the FIC server. I also have spare motherboards for both of them. I also have a lot other spares parts including backup power supplies for the primary computer and the FIC server. I have spare routers, net switches, and a spare cable modem also. However, I don't have a Spare for myself, so I should work on trying to get myself healthier. I am thinking about quitting smoking after the election no matter whom wins, and I also need to lose at least forty to six pounds of weight which at this point seems a pipe dream. I also need to have a crown put on one of my molars, and get my teeth checked and cleaned. CIO
Note: <888> 10/10/12 Wednesday 2:25 A.M. Today the Tech call that I decided not to use had me use the Run Command to Run "eventvwr" and look at the error messages which according to them my server is putting out a lot of error messages. It showed I had over 8,000 error message on the FIC server on a newly restored clean install. They claimed they could fix the problem, but I obviously could not afford to pay them. They said they get the information from the master Windows Server that Microsoft feeds them. They were located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I think they were talking through the internet, and I was tired, and I could not understand their broken English which seemed not to be their native language. They sounded like they were from India. Note: <888> 10/10/12 Wednesday 1:25 A.M. I installed the drivers and Logitech software on the three computers that I put the web cams on earlier. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1, a six pack of Calise bulkie rolls for $3.49, a Boston Market 16 ounce meat loaf dinner for $2, a Boston Market 16 ounce turkey breast dinner for $2, a 8 ounce Stop and Shop parmesan and Romano grated cheese for $2.99, a 24 ounce Bob Evans mashed potatoes for $3, a 12 ounce package of Purdue chicken cutlets for $3.34, a two pound bag of baby carrots for $3.29, bananas for .79 a pound for $1.07, broccoli crowns for $1.99 a pound for $1.67, and a Bermuda red onion for $1.99 a pound for $1.57 for $25.42 total. Note: <888> 10/08/12 Monday 3:55 A.M. I took the 3.75 year old Maxtor 320 gigabyte hard drive out of the primary work computer, although it still works, and I saved in a Seagate hard drive box without changing it. I put in a new 300 gigabyte Seagate PATA hard drive, and since I had shrunk the 320 hard drive before doing my most recent backup, I was able to restore my Completer PC backup from August 28, 2012. I installed the updates and recent changes. While I had the system opened, I installed the 320 gigabyte Maxtor hard drive from the Netgear Storage device temporarily and did a 1% low level format. I reinstalled it in the Netgear Storage device. When I rebooted Windows I had to reinstalled the Netgear storage device software, but it now works. For some reason the first partition was erased with the 1% low level format, but not the second partition. I then restored the FIC server backup, and I disabled McAfee Internet Security updates, so I am now able to transfer files through the network. I now have to transfer some files to the storage device. For some reason the FIC server turned off twice, but it should not be a software problem. I ate apple pastry. CIO
Note: <888> 10/07/12 Sunday 9:20 P.M. I tried to use the Netgear Storage device with the IBM ThinkCentre by the hallway, but it would not work. I tried to use it with the Epox computer and it caused the computer to crash. I had to change the LAN cable routing temporarily to try it. It leads me to believe there is something wrong with the Netgear Storage device, since neither of those computers have the McAfee firewall. I am backing up my server folder to the second hard drive on the Epox computer. I chatted with a relative. CIO
