Location
The NSF CAREER Proposal Writing Workshop will be held in the Instructional Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta, GA. Parking and Transportation Airport Transportation via Shuttle or MARTA GA Tech is located north of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Midtown Atlanta. The recommended shuttle service for transportation from the airport to your hotel is the Atlanta Link which services the Midtown area (Rates are $18.50 one way/$33 round trip per person). Shuttles are located at the Delta Baggage Claim South Terminal, exit through doors S-5 or S-6. Atlanta Link shuttles are located in the middle island. MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) has a train station located in the airport. GA Tech is conveniently located near 2 MARTA stations: the North Avenue station and the Midtown station. Both stations are a 15 minute walk to the main campus and the GA Tech Trolley services the Midtown MARTA station. The GA Tech Trolley provides service from the Midtown MARTA station, Technology Square, and the main campus along Ferst Drive every 6-30 minutes depending on the time of day. Parking on Campus GA Tech has several visitor parking lots located on campus. If you decide to drive, two lots that are close to the workshop location are Area 2 – Student Center Visitor Lot and Area 3 Visitor Lot. The rates for both lots are $0.75 per half hour with a $10 maximum ($20 for lost ticket). Parking will be at your own expense. An interactive campus map can be found here.
