It first began using Akamai when its London-based servers were becoming overwhelmed with each release. Now, Sophos delivers 20 times the traffic and achieves a 99.9% download success rate without any additional infrastructure. It estimates that it has saved hundreds of thousands of dollars annually and avoided a costly data center deployment.
