The key issues for this, based on review, have been identified as follows. The insurance unit is presently too large. Guaranteed Yields do not reflect the reasonable aspirations of farmers. 3. The present indemnity levels are inadequate. Inordinate delays in the settlement of claims. Inadequate risk / loss coverage. Poor infrastructure facilities for coverage of non-loanee farmers . 7. Insurance coverage is not available for Fruits, Vegetables etc. Lack of composite insurance covering crops & other assets
