Fora well-designed venturimeter the value of Cd is around 0.98. It is has no dimensions and only depends on the rate of flow and the velocity of the working fluid. The value of Cd is higher in nozzle measurement flow as compare to orifice measurement of flow. It can be increased by increasing the overall pressure ratio or by decreasing the convergent angle inflow measurement.
