Substance abuse professional
A person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, followup testing, and aftercare.
Substance use disorder
Occurs when a person’s use of alcohol or another substance (drug) leads to health issues or problems at work, school, or home.
Testing designated position employee
A DA employee who holds a position identified by the Army as having critical safety or security responsibilities related to the Army mission.
Unit risk inventory
An anonymous questionnaire completed by all Soldiers of a unit at anytime, and is designed to identify the risky behaviors Soldiers are participating in.
Voluntary/non–enrolled care
Soldiers who have an alcohol use disorder and do not meet the criteria for mandatory care.
