IFPC-High Power Microwave (HPM)
The Army is developing IFPC-HPM to counter groups or swarms of UAS. IFPC-HPM is to be paired with IFPC-HEL as part of a layered defense to protect fixed and semi-fixed sites In support of this program, the Army is to begin investing in FY as a partner in the Air Force’s THOR program, as well as in other Air Force demonstrators The Army’s THOR prototype will undergo a series of risk reduction and system characterization efforts before its intended field testing in FY IFPC-HPM is scheduled to transition to a program of record in
FY2025.
