A5- Pancreas The pancreas secretes digestive enzymes into the duodenum
that breakdown protein, fats and carbohydrates. The
pancreas also makes insulin, passing it directly into the bloodstream.
A6- Liver The liver is the largest solid organ and the largest gland in the human body. It carries out over 500 essential tasks. Classed as
part of the digestive system, the roles of the
liver include detoxification,
protein synthesis, and the production of chemicals that help digest food . The liver is the body's chemical "factory" It takes the raw materials absorbed by the intestine and makes all the various chemicals the body needs to function.
` A- Gallbladder The gallbladder stores and concentrates
bile from the liver, and then releases it into the duodenum in the small intestine to help absorb and digest fats.
