A. Where the Holy Spirit Leads. The Spirit led the Apostle Paul and his companions to avoid certain places and to go to Macedonia for mission work (see Acts 16:6-10). The Holy Spirit warned Paul of danger, but compelled him to go as a witness to Jerusalem (see Acts 20:22-24). The Spirit can also guide you to the right mission fields.
B. Where the People Are. I t is generally better--but not always better--to evangelize in cities and towns rather than in rural areas. People in the cities and towns carry the Gospel to the country. And people in cities serve as witnesses when those from rural areas come to cities to transact business. Notice that Jesus sent disciples to evangelize in towns (see Luke 10:1). Paul went to population centers to evangelize. See Strategy of Missions— Go Where God Wants You to Go in the module “Missiology.”
