I. God’s Calling. Before accepting a mission position, be sure that you are called to be a missionary. You will not be happy and you will not be successful unless you are called. For help in knowing if God is calling you, seethe training module entitled The Call to Missions If God calls you to lead on the mission field, he will enable you to accomplish his purposes. Trust that God will be with you as you lead. Then make the effort to improve your leadership skills. As you assess your leadership skills, what are your strengths and weaknesses Develop a plan for improving your skills, and act upon the plan.
