INDEPTH ACTIVITY(1)
Affordance: An affordance in general terms is a quality of an objector an environment that allows an individual to perform a specific action or abilityAffordances are important to recognize for the design of mLearning because smartphones and tablets exhibit unique features and qualities that allow individuals to perform a specific action. Each affordance is enabled by the portability of the device, coupled with a specific capability of the device. In many cases the affordance is based on the combination of both hardware and software capabilities. For example, the camera is a capability of many smartphones and tablets. The hardware for the camera alone does not provide a unique capability. When the camera hardware is combined with a software application then such affordances as capturing video and images,
Augmented Reality, Quick Response (QR) code reading, or content image analysis are made possible.
The five affordances of mobile devices, which include portability, social interactivity, context sensitivity,
connectivity and individuality

Constraint: Mobile smartphones come with inherent constraints small screen, short sessions, single window visible atone time, and variable connectivity. But some of their features also present unique opportunities. Mobile-design principles reflect these limitations and strengths.

SECTION G
Section g focuses on the possible improvements that can be added to the usability and user experience goals of
smartphones’ interface mentioned in section D and E.
IMPROVEMENTS ON THE INTERFACE OF USABILITY AND USER EXPERIENCE GOALS
USABILITY GOALS

Learnability: The simpler the interface, the easier it will be for the user. As a designer, minimizing the cognitive loads during designing process reduces the complexity of your design. For instance, if a person finds it difficult to locate the login button on design Abut finds it easier to locate the login button on design B, he or she will choose design B. So, making the interface simpler helps the user know and understand how the system works and can accomplish their task. Also finding the user’s expectation and aligning it with your design goals also helps in improving the usability goals.
