24. How has your town changed over the last 20 years? I wouldn’t say that it has changed beyond recognition, but yes I think we have seen a number of improvements in the infrastructure of the place. The most noticeable change would be the developments which took place in a very short period of time. Home 25. What color would you choose to paint the walls of your room? - I would probably go for light colors as they might be less distracting. 26. What color would you never use in your home? - Red, I guess. It seems old-fashioned to me. 27. Can you describe the place where you live? - It is a single storey house with 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a small garden in the backyard. 28. What kind of housing accommodation do you live in? - I live in atypical Uzbek house. 29. What do you like about your flat/house? - It is in the countryside, which means I am always far from the noise of the city. 30. Which room does your family spend most of their time in? - It has to be the dining room, because it is the place we gather at least twice a day to eat and chat. 31. What can you see from the windows where you live? - The street of course, and some of our neighbours houses. Sometimes cars pass, but this is not very usual. Small children like to play different games on the street. This is another view I might have. 32. Do you prefer living in a house or a flat? - I prefer flats even though I was born and raised in a house. 33. What would you like to change in your house? - I would add along corridor connecting all the rooms of the house, which would possibly make it easier to move around the house. 34. What do you dislike about your house? - I wouldn’t say that I dislike it, but there is one thing that I think should be changed. It is the toilet. We still use an old-fashioned pit toilet, which is responsible fora lot of intestinal diseases. I would replace it with a flush toilet.
