Checking the UNIStim Firmware version on anew IP Phone 1140E

After assembling the IP Phone E and turning it on, the display on the IP Phone E goes through the following sequence:
•
Nortel splash screen appears
•
Nortel sonic sound plays
•
Nortel banner appears
Following the Nortel banner, the firmware version appears in the display (F/W version).

Note the UNIStim Firmware version number and write it down.
Compare the version number to the minimum-required UNIStim
Firmware version (0625C1H).
UNIStim Firmware version names contain numbers and letters.
Use the last three characters in aversion to compare the version of UNIStim on an IP Phone E (0625C1H) with the minimum required version for the upgrade. Note that C is greater than C1H
and CB is less than C1H.

Upgrade and convert the IP Phone E firmware
If the version number is equal to or higher than CH, go to the section "Convert UNIStim Firmware to SIP Firmware on the IP
Phone E" (page If the number is lower than CH, go to the section "Upgrade
UNIStim Firmware to the minimum required UNIStim Firmware"
(page and follow the instructions to upgrade an IP Phone 1140E
to the minimum-required version of UNIStim Firmware before a conversion to SIP Firmware.

Press the Globe/Services key on the IP Phone E twice quickly.
If the admin password prompt appears, enter the password
