B. Tattoo Policy1. OverviewAR 670-1 requires Soldiers to wear their uniforms in a fashion that does not detract from overall military appearance. The regulation references both tattoos and brands. Soldiers are prohibited from having
tattoos or brands on the head, face (except for permanent makeup, neck anything above the t-shirt neckline to include on/inside the eyelids, mouth,
and ears, wrists, hands, except Soldiers may have one ring tattoo on each hand, below the joint of the bottom segment of the finger.
