| The City of Atlanta is seeking a Backflow Prevention Compliance Manager to join our team! We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Atlanta is a continuing growing city with a population of 420,000, with a metro population that has grown to 4.1 million people. A good measure of this growth is the ever-changing downtown skyline, along with skyscrapers constructed in the Midtown, Buckhead, and outer perimeter (fringing I-285) business districts. The Backflow Prevention Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the backflow, field activity staff, contractors and testers for backflow prevention compliance; attend meetings and interact with management, Local, State, and Federal Code Officials; establish schedules, set priorities and standards for the organization, and review operations to ensure efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess the following: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Construction, or related field; must have five (5) years of progressively responsible compliance or engineering experience which include three (3) years of supervisory experience. Experience in backflow prevention compliance is required. Applicants will need to be certified by the State of Georgia as a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. In addition, applicants must be certified in Water Distribution or hold a Class I State of Georgia Water Operator License and a valid Georgia driver’s license at time of appointment.
