Friends and Colleagues,
We are having a challenge finding qualified candidates for the EIT position below.  We anticipate hiring a new-grad (B.S. or M.S.) to fill this position, but would consider an EIT with 1-3 years of experience.  If you know of any exceptional candidates, please share this with them.  We are looking for top students—not just grades, but with ability to write effectively, learn our processes, speak well in front of clients, and adapt to constant change.  All applications must be submitted through AECOM’s web portal.
Beyond the basic job description below, we are looking for someone with capability to function cross-discipline including potential to support drainage design (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS), neighborhood roadway design, streets, channels, and other municipal capital improvement projects.
This person would not report to me, as I lead the natural resources group.

Dr. Lowery,

I wondered if you might be able to share this with your students and former students that might be in the job market.  We listed the ideal candidate as someone with an EIT and several years’ experience, however, we are also interested in folks with less experience including new graduates.

The real difficulty with this job is that there will not be lots of opportunity for design, but rather more review of other engineer’s designs - not always an area young engineers want to be in starting out.
Thanks for your help.

Mr. Lowery,
Headrights Tech Services is a contract company providing employees to companies in the PetroChemical Engineering business.  These are our people in a client’s place of business.
Currently we have needs for Graduate Civil/Structural Engineers as well as Design Draftsmen in the same industry.
The focus of the work is Pipe Rack Structures, Pipe Supports, ladders, platforms, and reinforced concrete foundation design.  Some cases will require site preparation, underground piping for oily water, storm and sewer.
The Design Draftsmen are for the purpose of generating the drawings associated with the mentioned work.  The drafting is typically done using Autocad, Tekla, and in some cases Microstation.  In some instances a 3d software is used to develop the steel itself, using the 3d for dynamic design.
If you have any students past or present that might fill these requirements, we would appreciate the opportunity to see a resume.
Most of our clients are in the East Texas, Tyler and Longview Texas area.
Thanks for your time.
