Premier Athletics Sharks Competition Information please read carefully! This is important!

  All competition information is not alike. Read carefully and direct all travel questions to Susan.
  
• 
  Please remember that travel arrangements are your responsibility. We do our best to set up room blocks for your convenience, but do not guarantee availability. We try to get hotels which are close to the event, and there are some hotels that we have not stayed at before. Please make sure you are choosing a hotel you are comfortable with, as we may not have personally had experiences with all of these locations.

  You may make hotel reservations anywhere you like. The rooms we block are usually close to the competitions, but are not always the cheapest. There are not enough rooms blocked to cover everyone attending competition, so please act quickly on reservations.
  
• 
  You are responsible for your travel to and from competition. We will be taking a bus to WSF in Indianapolis. You must pay and sign up in advance to ride.
  
• 
  NO TEAM MEMBER IS ALLOWED TO ROOM WITHOUT AN ADULT. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  
• 
  Parents always ask when we will compete, but we are at the mercy of the competition companies. As soon as we receive the information we will give it to you, but for many competitions we will not know the schedule until within 1 week of the scheduled competition date. Normally, we do not have the information to give until the Monday before the competition as it comes out the Friday before, but we are not in the office until Monday. It will be emailed as soon as we have it, so make sure we have a current email address on file for you.

  You should plan on arriving on Friday evening for a 2 day competition. Please check with your coach if this will be a problem or to verify if there will be a team meeting/practice on Friday night. Meeting times may be very early in the morning, and we do expect the meeting times to be strictly followed.
  
• 
  The Competition Schedule is attached. This also shows the due date and amount for the registration fees. Registration fees should be paid to Premier, as we have to pay for everyone when we register. Please pay all fees promptly and do not wait on a statement. If you are signed up for all your expenses to be charged, this will be done around the scheduled fee due date.
  
• 
  Pay close attention to cutoff dates as all rooms not used in our blocks will be dropped after these dates. Also note, our room blocks will not hold everyone so if you do not make reservations promptly, you will have to find your own anyway.
  
• 
  You will need to use a credit card to make your reservations. Remember to always ask about cancellation policies as they differ from hotel to hotel. Premier is not responsible for any room cancellations or refund of money from hotels. Also, check the policy concerning room deposits and whether you will need to make a deposit by credit card, as many Hotels require a one night deposit, or just use the credit card to hold the reservation. We block rooms as a service to help you. Please be responsible in making your arrangements.

  Please pay all competition fees on time. Accounts not kept up to date could result in your child not being allowed to compete.
  
• 
  It is your responsibility to make your reservations. We suggest you make all your reservations when you receive this packet and write confirmation numbers on the page for that particular competition.
  
• 
  Competitions are a lot of fun and a great way to make special memories with your child and their friends. Take the time to decide who from your family will be attending and when you need to be at the competition. A little advance planning will allow you to relax and enjoy the season as it can become a very hectic time. The least expensive way to travel is for a mother/daughter to room with another mother/daughter and possibly even share transportation. Please keep that in mind when planning your travel.

  Most school administrators and teachers are very understanding and encouraging when they have received advance notice of school time to be missed. Please advise the appropriate personnel ahead of time if your child will miss any class time for travel. There are not competitions that we will require your child miss any school. Any Friday practice times will be given out way in advance and we will make sure to schedule them so that you can leave when your child gets out of school on Friday.

  Remember, if you miss a cut-off date for a Hotel, you lose the room and rate we offer and must book on your own with the rate to be determined by the Hotel.
