CeBIT Events Worldwide take the winning Hannover format to key growth markets.
Hannover. The CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany, is the world’s leading trade fair for the digitalization of the economy, society and government. It carries a powerful message that resonates with top-level IT industry decision-makers from around the globe. CeBIT 2017, which runs from 20 to 24 March, is dedicated to the Internet of Things, the digital transformation of all sectors of the economy, and the important role of security in a digitalized society. Its overseas offshoots under the CeBIT Events Worldwide brand leverage the flagship B2B fair to give the globally active CeBIT network access to target audiences in the booming markets of Australia, India and Mexico.
Deutsche Messe launched its CeBIT internationalization campaign back in 1999. Since then, the company has successfully exported CeBIT, one of its best-known tradeshow brands, under the “CeBIT Events Worldwide” banner to selected locations around the world, including Sydney, Bengaluru and Mexico City. Together, the CeBIT event in Hannover and its international offshoots constitute a uniquely powerful platform for business development worldwide. As the parent event in the brand family, CeBIT in Hannover sets the tone for its overseas counterparts.
CeBIT Australia – IT hub Down Under

This year’s CeBIT Australia will be held from 23 to 25 May at the new International Convention Centre in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. It will be the 16th time that the show has been held. Sponsored by the government of New South Wales, CeBIT Australia is Australia’s leading business IT showcase, bringing together 15,000 technology and business leaders from across the Asia Pacific region. These attendees come from four main organization types: enterprise (500+ employees), government/public sector, startup and SME.

The event features a large-scale exhibition comprising 13 product zones which together host 350 exhibiting companies and organizations. It also brings opinion leaders and business luminaries together for quality dialogue and networking on current business IT issues and trends. This dialogue and networking part of CeBIT Australia takes place at eight CeBIT conferences and several showfloor theatres on topics as diverse as Cyber Security, Cloud, FinTech and Big Data. CeBIT Australia is co-located with Techmix, a conference on marketing, customer reach and related technologies that is organized jointly by the industry associations ADMA and AIMA. The show’s conference content is rounded out by six strategic panels: Women in tech, Next Gen & STEM, the Innovators Panel, SME Growth, the CEO Panel and the CIO Panel. The keynote sessions at this year’s CeBIT Australia feature business technology leaders from around the world, including Eugene Kaspersky, Chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, Dennis Andrucyk, Deputy Associate Administrator at NASA’s Space Mission Directorate (SMD), and Randi Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media.
Needless to say, startups are also very high on the agenda at CeBIT Australia. For instance, this year’s show features a StartUp Exhibition Zone, a half-day StartUp Conference and an exciting PitchFest competition. Winners of past PitchFest competitions at the show have gone on to become successful international technology businesses.
Thanks to its winning mix of exhibition, conferences and panels, CeBIT Australia is one of the Asia-Pacific region’s foremost platforms for business development and networking in the digital industry. First held in 2002, it is now Australia’s biggest business technology trade show and the flagship event of the country’s IT industry.
CeBIT brand to premiere in Latin America with BITS Mexico

BITS Mexico premieres from 15 to 17 November 2017 at the Centro Banamex exhibition center in Mexico City. The new event is the latest step in Deutsche Messe’s ongoing strategy for the vitally important Latin American trade fair market, and further expands the reach of the company’s core field of ICT & Digital Business, for which the CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany is the international flagship. The company plans to leverage BITS Mexico to expand its ICT & Digital Business offering in Central America and Latin America as a whole.

Mexico has an open and market-oriented economy that benefits considerably from geographic proximity to the USA and relatively low labor costs. These two factors are an important part of the country’s economic development strategy. Mexico has a well-developed and robust ICT infrastructure and steadily increasing Internet usage rates. Moreover, its IT industry is in growth mode. Expanding at a 14 percent annually, it is developing faster now than at any time in the past 10 years. Mexico is also a key investment location for software projects in Latin America.
Against this background, BITS Mexico will leverage the highly attractive Mexican market and its steadily growing importance as a springboard for exports to North and Central America. The ICT trade show is organized by Deutsche Messe in partnership with the trade fair operator “Trade Show Factory” and will be held annually, starting in November 2017. Its exhibition portfolio is very broad, encompassing such topics as Big Data, Cloud, eCommerce, CRM/CRP, Data Centers, Security, Electronics, Social Media and Audio/Video & Printing.
BITS Mexico is supported by multiple leading Mexican industry associations including AMITI (Mexican IT Industry Association), CANIETI (National Chamber of the Electronics, IT and Telecommunications Industry), AMIPCI (Mexican Internet Association), CANACINTRA (National Chamber of the Process Industry), and EMAAC (Mexico-Germany Business Association).
CeBIT INDIA – springboard for India’s booming IT sector

CeBIT INDIA will be it its fourth year in 2017. The show brings together the brightest innovators, business leaders and trendsetters and presents the most promising emerging technologies for the Modi government’s Digital India initiative.

CeBIT INDIA will be held in December 2017 in Bengaluru, India’s technology capital. It has evolved steadily since its premiere in 2014 and is now one of India’s foremost showcases for global tech brands and innovation leaders. Key players from India’s steadily growing ICT industry gather at the show to present their latest innovations, build their business networks and make new contacts.
India is at the tipping point of a digital revolution. It already has over 1 billion mobile phone users nationwide, and with 462 million internet users, it also has the 2nd largest online population in the world (after China). These huge numbers of users provide a strong basis for explosive growth in other technologies like the mobile internet, digital payments, cloud computing and the Internet of Things.
The 2017 edition of CeBIT INDIA is themed “Where Technology Innovation Meets Business”. This motto will find living expression in all areas of the show, including:

  • The exhibition zones, where buyers, users, influencers and the media will witness technology in action

  • A forum, where the finest minds from the IT industry, government and science will discuss trends, challenges and innovations for the digital economy (CeBIT Global Conferences)

  • A meeting hub for key industry leaders, joint venture partners, investors and trendsetters (CeBIT Global Conferences, CeBIT Executive Club and Digital Transformational Leaders Awards)

  • A special showcase for startups (SCALE11)

  • A platform where innovative and disruptive ideas turn into solutions (IoT Lab & innovation Challenge – hackathon)

CeBIT INDIA is organized by Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of a global joint venture between Deutsche Messe (Germany) and the Fiera Milano Group (Italy). Thanks in no small measure to the support of India’s leading IT industry Associations, the show is on track to become the No. 1 trade fair and forum for India’s IT industry.
