Analytics and Reporting. Akamai‘s analytics and reporting systems enable customers to view information about their sites traffic and performance. The system consumes outputs from the log collection, Query, and other systems, processing it into a format that enables multidimensional reporting. The most recent generation of the system uses a modified MapReduce framework to extract various attributes and submits the data into a fault-tolerant, column-oriented database system. Customers can then utilize a reporting interface to construct and issue multidimensional queries against the database to gain insight into their site traffic, user demographics, and network performance.
