1. Identify SCEs and performance standards
M
Miinniim muum ma assssuurra annccee tta asskk - specific tasks) that have to be performed for each functional criteria in order to verify that the required standard of performance is achieved. The performance assurance task typically takes the form of a physical check against a desired standard of a defined operation, a measurement of a value against a target value or by observing the equipment. Where the value is to be recorded after the task has been executed, that value shall not be included in this task description but shall be in the assurance target value, see Figure 9.
A
Assssuurra annccee m meea assuurree - a short unique description of the performance assurance value which is to be recorded such as examples for yes/no "Fire pump starts on demand, "HVAC
system operable examples for quantitative "Firewater discharge pressure",
"Firewater flow rate".
These assurance measures (termed MICs - Master Inspection
Characteristics in SAP) shall be maintained as a single Global data set in the CMMS system.
A
Assssuurra annccee vva alluuee - describes the evidence that shall be recorded to demonstrate conformance with the performance standard.
The performance assurance value shall be one of the following Qualitative - in which case a simple yes/no signifying whether the acceptance criteria has been met, or Quantitative - in which case the dimension of the quantitative results is to be recorded, e.g. time, pressure, temperature.
The units of measurement are specified in the next section.
Develop Operate phase performance standard
The Operate phase performance standard templates shall be applied as follows to develop the performance standard contents for the specific Asset. Select the applicable performance standard template and copy those elements (including tasks) which are relevant.
