930 a.m. INTRODUCTION
Jeff - Good morning! Distinguished guests, Ladies and gentlemen,

Bonjour! Distingués invités, Mesdames et Messieurs, my name is Jeff LeBlanc and I will be your Emcee for this morning. We are delighted that our Rally events have taken place here at UNB-Fredericton. Thank you sincerely to the University and the Richard J Currie Centre for warmly welcoming Team New Brunswick.

Today, we are greeting the members of the New Brunswick team - dedicated individuals who come from all parts of the Province and who represent the best of sport, leadership and excellence.

Insert French.
Before we get on with show I would like to introduce you to my co-emcee – I could read a page of accolades about her – but instead just after the parade of athletes we will allow this fantastic technology to do it for us. I will tell you she is a Team NB Canada Games alumni from the 2011 Winter Games in Halifax where she was lead for the Women’s Curling Team. She has gone on to have a whirlwind 2 years since then – but you’ll just have to wait until the athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff arrive to hear more about her.

Insert French.
Please join me in welcoming 2011 Canada Games alumni Miss Cathlia Ward!
Cathlia: Hi Everyone! Thank you Jeff! It’s hard to believe 2011 was only a little over 2 years ago and that I’m now considered Team NB ALUMNI!!
I know what it’s like as an athlete to be in the holding area for an Opening Ceremonies and since this weekend is all about simulating the Games environment so athletes are as prepared as can be for Sherbrooke 2013 - Let’s get things started right now.
Jeff:

Please join us in welcoming sport by sport the very proud and accomplished young men and women and their coaches and managers who have been working and training diligently to represent the Province of New Brunswick at the 2013 Canada Summer Games which take place August 2 – 17th in our neighbor province of Quebec.

Insert French.

Jeff A number of sports are training or competing out of Town today and will not be parading in – we want to mention them though as important members of this Team. Athletics, Softball, Women’s Beach Volleyball, Road Cycling and Mountain Bike, and Tennis

Women’s Wrestling may only send a few athlete’s or none at all but we are waiting for confirmation.
