The results of the enquiry on basic data sources confirm that sea level measurements are extensive but regular current measurements are still rare and limited to the most advanced countries / institutions. Digital sea level records are available since 50’s, although a major change in technology is widely noted in 90s’. Nevertheless, still a few analog instruments in operational use are reported.
