Data-VLAN on the three-port switch of the IP Phone E manually and automatically (see
Figure 12 "Voice-VLAN and Data VLAN" (page If both Data and Voice VLAN’s are enabled on a three-port switch, only the frames with Data and Voice VLAN tagged go to networks.
The IP Phone1140E receives only the frames with Voice VLAN tagged and sends the frames with Voice VLAN tagged, while PC or Local Networks receive all kinds of frames.
When only voice VLAN is enabled on three-port switch, all kinds of frames go to the Network, the IP Phone E receives
only the frames with VoiceVLAN tagged and send all frames with Voice VLAN tagged. PC or Local
Networks receive all kinds of frames.
