  • ARCO and Emergency Response, Port Angeles Rotary Club, Port Angeles, Washington, April 1997. Speech given to the local rotary club to dedicate the shoreline signage donated by Atlantic Richfield Company.

  • California Maritime Academy Exposure, Greater Los Angeles High School counselors, ARCO Corporate Headquarters, Los Angeles, June 1992. Part of a series of lectures and speeches to Greater Los Angeles High School and Junior College counselors and teachers. Program was initiated by me and sponsored by ARCO to expose more students in the inner city of greater Los Angeles to the Maritime industry.

  • ARCO representative, Oil Spill Response Limited Board of Directors, Southampton, U.K., January 1994 to September 1999. Served as ARCO company representative on the Board of Directors of the worldwide oil spill response entity, as either the primary or alternate delegate.

  • Pollution Prevention in the Puget Sound, Washington State Science Teachers Association, Port Angeles, Washington, March 1997. ARCO representative at the Washington State Science teacher’s annual function. Lecture given on the pollution prevention programs at ARCO Marine and also on the crude oil refining process.

  • Guest Lecturer at the Harvard Business School MBA program on the topic of “Corporate and Social Responsibility” and “Sustainable Development in countries with oil-rich assets”.

  • Dominaide First Math and Dominaide First Math Plus – June 2006. Co-Authored early childhood education program for assisting pre-school children in gaining a better understanding regarding the abstract and concrete concepts of numeracy/literacy at an early age.
