  • Answer the specific questions asked in the CAT

  • The lexical items used in building the lexicon should be used in answering the questions, and can be expanded when we source for other lexical items when generating answers to the questions raised.

  • When presenting the lexicon built, also establish the criteria used in establishing its word class. Include the exceptions in the language when identifying the criteria used in identifying the word classes of the lexical items used.

  • Use the data you have in answering the questions.

  • Try to prove our hypotheses wrong.

  • When projecting/presenting the phrases, explain the internal structure of the phrase being talked about.

  • Don’t include what a language lacks, rather what it has

  • Include structures in the phrases

  • An example per structure. The structure should not be translated from English

  • Dholuo’s syntactic structures did not include the prepositional phrases.

  • The Kamba linguistic group has not answered question 5, and consequently question 6.

  • Question 5 requires two sentences for each of the verb subcategorization structures. Dholuo have provided one, Kamba none.

  • We are expected to state the different criteria used in identifying all the items in the lexicon built in question 1. Only the Kalenjin have provided criteria used in identifying lexical items.
