Part II Postcard Size Negatives (122 size) From the Collection of Donald R. Hensley, Jr.
Postcard size 122 roll film negatives has a large photo area of 3.25 x 5.5 and were meant for contact printing onto postcard paper. Kodak discontinued this film in 1971. Many famous photographers are represented here, names like C.W. Witbeck, William Monypeny, John B. Allen, Thomas Lawson, Jr. and many others.
Also included within this collection are the close relatives of postcard film, the 3x5 and 4x5 cut film negatives.
.
Argent Lumber Co. # 6 was photographed at Tillman, SC in December of 1938 by William Monypeny and his Kodak Autographic 3 Post Card Camera. The number six was a Baldwin (c/n 12288) built in 1891 for Surrey, Sussex & Southampton, which interestingly enough can still be seen lettered on the tender. From a postcard 122 size negative in the Collection of Donald R. Hensley, Jr., Copyright © 2004.
