Tazewell County career and technical center James parnell Over 20 years teaching experience ASE certified in seven areas Instructor James Parnell is ASE Certified in seven areas: Engine Repair Manual Drive Train and Axles Suspension and Steering Brakes Electrical/Electronic Systems Heating and Air Conditioning Engine Performance "Students in the AST program use industry-standard equipment to perform automotive repairs and improvements under the supervision of an ASE certified instructor. These students will be ready to continue their training and gain employment following completion of this program."

A student in the AST program pays no tuition or fees. The program is open to all high school students in the 10th grade and above.
