Methodology:

The methodology employed in this investigation aims to facilitate scholars in achieving their objectives of identifying the root causes of loan defaults in the banking sector of Bangladesh and devising strategies to mitigate this phenomenon. The following material presents a comprehensive outline of the study's objectives, sources of data, empirical analyses of macroeconomic factors, hypotheses, econometric framework, analytical techniques, and overall structure.

  1. Research Purpose:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that contribute to loan defaults within the banking industry of Bangladesh, as well as the effects that these defaults have on the economy as a whole as a direct result of these loan defaults. By conducting an examination of the elements that contribute to loan default, the purpose of this study is to improve financial and economic stability as its overarching goal. In the same vein, the significance of a powerful regulatory authority cannot be overstated when it comes to maintaining equilibrium in the banking business.

  1. Sampling Strategy:

The research utilizes a methodical sampling approach in order to guarantee the acquisition of data that is representative of the banking industry in Bangladesh. The study will obtain a comprehensive roster of banks that are currently operational within the country. A sample will then be selected through a randomized methodology. The chosen banks will encompass both publicly and privately owned institutions in order to encompass a wide spectrum of default loan experiences.

  1. Data Sources:

The primary data sources for this research will include financial statements, loan records, and relevant reports obtained from the selected banks. We have also collected data through primary sources such as interviews, online surveys and questionnaires. These sources will provide the necessary information to assess the default loan status, identify potential reasons for defaults, and analyze macroeconomic factors influencing default loans. Additionally, secondary data from academic journals, research papers, and official publications will be utilized to support the analysis.
