THE REFEREE SCHOOL

Operated in conjunction with the Lowell Panthers AAU tournament

Host Hotel: LaQuinta Inn and Suites, Andover, Mass

On court sessions are primarily held at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and the SportsZone in Derry, NH

2-person Session: May 16-18, 2014

The 2-person session is an instructional clinic. This is an outstanding opportunity for officials to receive extensive 2-person classroom instruction, and direct feedback following on-court assignments. Those attending will be considered for 2014-2015 high school assignments by those Coordinators in attendance.

CAMP DIRECTOR: Dan Picard, ECAC Coordinator, 2013-2014 responsibilities: CCC, GNAC, and NECC. 2013-2014 high school responsibilities include the Bay State, ISL and Catholic Central Leagues.

Joe Rocha, Coordinator of basketball officials for the Big Three Girls, EAC Girls, Mayflower League Boys and Girls and South Coast Conference Girls. Also the MIAA South Sectional Girls Assigner.

Invited Coordinators


Gerry Deshaies, Coordinator of basketball officials for the Dual County League Boys and Girls.

Peter Hansen, Coordinator of basketball officials for the Atlantic Coast, Patriot and South Shore Leagues Boys and Girls. Also the MIAA South Sectional Boys Assigner.

Larry McIntire, Coordinator of basketball officials for the Cape Ann and Northeast Conference Girls and Boys and Greater Boston League Girls. Also serves as the MIAA North Sectional Boys and Girls Tournament Assigner.

Mike O’Connor, Coordinator of basketball officials for the Boston Public Schools Girls North/South Divisions and Boys North Division.

CAMP STAFF:


Veteran officials will help you using their many different styles and philosophies as a springboard to advanced learning.

Entering our 19th year, the staff has been dedicated to the improvement of officials at all levels. From the 1st year official to the official with significant collegiate experience, we are prepared to assist in your improvement. You will leave this camp with something to work on!




WHO SHOULD ATTEND “THE REFEREE SCHOOL”?


This program is designed for officials with either varsity experience working for one of the Camp Directors or at least 2-years of sub-varsity experience.

Officials just moving into the local area would also be welcome. Our focus is to assist newer high school officials with becoming the crew chief at the varsity high school level.



The Camp Directors reserve the right to return applications for any reason.
