Active ID Point
Updated by the redundant Interfaces
Can be changed manually to initiate a manual failover
Values range between 0 and the highest of the Interface Failover IDs (typically 2)
The Active ID Point on the datasource is used by the interfaces to determine which interface is currently sending data to PI. This point on the Data Source must be initialized so the interfaces’s first read of the value is not an error.
The Active ID Point may be used to initiate a manual failover. If the current value of the Active ID point is 1, the value can be manually changed to a 2 which will cause the interface of IF-Node1 to transition to the backup role and the interface of IF-Node1 to transition to the primary role.

Heartbeat 2 Point
Updated by the Interface on IF-Node2
Values range between 0 and 31
The Heartbeat 2 Point on the Data Source is updated periodically by the interface on IF-Node2. The interface on IF-Node1 monitors this value to determine if the interface of IF-Node2 has become unresponsive.
