The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management is Croatia’s only university institution fully dedicated to educating managerial positions in tourism and hospitality as well as towards scientific human resource development in this field. The mission of the Faculty is to contribute to the development of a new model for Croatian tourism which will appropriately present Croatian natural attractions and the cultural value of our country.

The Faculty participates in numerous professional and scientific projects in Croatia and abroad and organizes several scientific and professional conferences as well as numerous round table discussions. The Faculty consists of 7 institutes and 20 departments and offers the following study programmes:
Undergraduate university studies

Graduate university studies

Postgraduate specialist studies

Doctoral studies

Lifelong learning programmes
The quality of the content and the length of the study programmes are fully harmonized with the Bologna declaration and with other well-known study programmes of this kind in Europe, and they have been devised based on the requirements of the modern labour market. The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) has been implemented at the Faculty, which facilitates the comprehension and comparability of study programmes and which has been applied to all above-mentioned types of study programmes. The Faculty has also developed an internationally recognized honours system for measuring learning outcomes - First Class Honours Degree. Our students can choose to study via a specially designed distance learning system and they are issued an electronic students’ book, which means that it is keeping abreast with other internationally renowned and well-known universities that apply modern evaluation and learning outcome assessment techniques.
The ECTS system for monitoring and evaluating learning outcomes and student competences has been implemented for the purpose of:
Improving the quality of education and qualification.

Studying towards a “higher % of acquired knowledge, skills and competences”, and with that entering a higher class in the honours system.

Increasing the responsibility of all participants of the teaching process.
