M otion Sensors
Motion sensors have been installed within the main rooms of your home. These sensors simply detect the movement of a person within their field of view. They have no camera so are unable to see who the person is or what they are doing.
The sensors allow your general activity levels and daily routine to be monitored whilst you are at home.
The motion sensors are battery powered and wirelessly communicate to the SAPHE Set-Top Box.
No interaction is required with the Motion Sensors.
Door sensors have been installed on the entry/exit doors of your home. These sensors simply detect opening and closing of the door to which they are attached. The sensors allow the SAPHE system to know if someone is at home or if a visitor calls.
An additional door sensor may have been attached to your fridge. This provided your Community Matron with an indication of whether you are eating as usual.
The Door sensors are battery powered and wirelessly communicate to the SAPHE Set-Top Box.
No interaction is required with the Door Sensors.
