Right to Secede: Under a confederal arrangement or system, each sovereign component unit has the right to secede or break away if the prevailing situations in the union call for it.
Flexible Constitution: By its arrangement, confederal states do have flexible constitution which can easily be changed since the constitution does not call for any special procedure for its amendment.
