Student Name: Yousef Al-Nafjan ID : 200800086

Internship Site: Kifah Print and Kifah Precast

Week Beginning: June 23, 2012

Internship Advisor at College: Dr. Abul Bashar

Please document in detail the activities in which you participated, specific incidents you observed daily to enable you in answering the attached questions.
Day and Date: Description of activity
Day 1 - June 23

I continued the work I started with the test phones last week, and I started testing more apps. I also set up a company account with Google Apps to use on the phones.

Day 2 - June 24

I finished installing all the required apps and disabling or locking out all the apps that users should not have access to. I made the same configuration to another phone and gave the phones to my supervisor, Mr. Toufiq, and my colleague, Mr. Talha, to test them.

Day 3 - June 25

I finished documenting the process of setting up the phone for the first time, and started preparing the apps necessary to switch users to Google Apps on their PCs, including the Google Chrome browser. I got complaints from Mr. Toufiq saying that the phone’s battery life was not satisfactory.

Day 4 - June 26

After discussing it with Mr. Toufiq, I decided unlock the bootloader of these phones and install a modified version of the Android operating system. That version is closer to the original Android OS and has less preinstalled apps to worry about. I went back to the documentation and started rewriting it.

Day 5 - June 27

After I was done, I made an image of the configuration and copied it to the other phone. I also configured a different phone model with the same apps for the owner, Eng. Abdul Aziz. We presented the phone to him and started switching him to use Google Apps for his email and documents instead of Outlook and Office.
