WESTERN STATES AUTO THEFT INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION
HAWAII CHAPTER



The Hawaii Chapter of the Western States Auto Theft Investigators Association (WSATI) is hosting a two day seminar dealing with Vehicle Theft & Investigation. Emphasis will be on:


  1. NICB Services and Assistance to Law Enforcement

  2. Bait Car Operations – Planning, Funding, Electronics and Security

  3. Vehicle Theft Schemes and Fraud in Hawaii

  4. VIN switching and cloned vehicles

  5. Identification of fraudulent/altered/stolen vehicles

  6. Fraudulent trades, sales, insurance policies and claim payouts

  7. Auto Theft Rings in Hawaii


Note: Although this seminar is geared primarily toward law enforcement, other government agencies and insurance SIU personnel the various claims departments receiving this invitation may wish to consider allowing certain of their non-SIU personnel to attend. These would include claims personnel handling auto theft claims as well as appraisers. They are all cordially invited.

DATE: May 21 and 22, 2008 (Wednesday & Thursday)
TIME: May 21, registration 0800-0900, seminar begins at 0900, ends at 1700

May 22, seminar begins at 0800, ends at 1700

LOCATION: Hale Ikena Facility located on Fort Shafter, Parking Free
SECURITY: Have ID, Drivers License, Current Safety Check, No Fault Card and Registration for Ft. Shafter gate security officers.
COSTS: $90.00 (Includes refreshments and buffet lunch for both days)
