2016 MSU G&T Summer Academy Course Descriptions
All Grades
Einstein Hour -
All non-AP Academy students will gather together each morning from 8-9am to participate in the Einstein Hour makerspace. This course will involve groups of up to five students who will build a solution to a design challenge. Students will apply the engineering design process to Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, and Improve by collaborating to brainstorm, model, build, test, and modify their solution. Students are encouraged to use information, resources, and project work from their other courses to assist with completing their Einstein Hour project.
Solve for Why? -
All non-AP extended day students will participate in the Solve for Why? Challenge each day between 3:30-5:30pm. This course will be a facilitated time for individual students to choose a real-world problem to solve. The level-appropriate project goals will include elements of the engineering design process and/or the scientific research process to produce a final product. Students are encouraged to use information, resources, and project work from their other courses to assist with completing their Solve For Why? project.
Grades 1-4
Budding Performers
Folk Dance -
Folk Dance is a great way to experience other cultures. In this class we will learn folk dances from around the world. By exploring different folk dances, we will learn what people in different places of the world have in common. Folk dances will require you to remember patterns, understand important cues in culture, learn musical cues, and to learn how to communicate without using words.
Future Pop Star -
Pop Stars are a triple threat on stage. They can sing, dance, and act. Join the G&T Glee club class to practice your pop star vocals and moves. Learn how to interact with one another while singing and dancing to bring a “show” or an “act” to life. We will focus on projection of voice, timing in music, and stage presence. Do you have the skills to sing and dance at the same time?
Poise/Public Speaking -
Everyone has the potential to speak effectively, evolve their own personal style, and develop poise and confidence when communicating with an audience. In American schools, in-class presentations are becoming increasingly central to academic success. This class provides fun and easy exercises to help you discover your “power voice” within and how the correct use of that voice can help make you an effective speaker in front of an audience.
WOW: Drama and Poetry -
Become a confident and articulate poet! Poets exude confidence and have an ability to understand how to use rhythm, words, and movement to emphasize important ideas. This class will require creativity and innovation to create original poems. Students will work individually and in collaboration with their classmates to read, write, perform, and learn effective strategies for critiquing each other's' work.
Future Picassos
Art in Nature -
Can you imagine walking through an art gallery and not seeing any paintings or photographs of flowers, trees, animals or majestic mountains or languid lakes? It's impossible to imagine because nature is reflected in art! Many great works of art and the artists who create them are inspired by the colors, textures, and even the sounds found in nature. In this course, you will create and exhibit nature-inspired art projects.
Clay Master -
Put on your smocks and roll up your sleeves! You will be sculpting with clay and learning about clay art in other cultures. Your masterpieces may include pottery, figurines, and other items of your choice.
Future Picassos -
Picasso once said, “Everything you imagine is real.” In this class we are going to put his quote to work! Be ready to stretch your imagination and create your own unique Picasso inspired artwork. We will be experimenting with collage, painting, chalk, and drawing in this class. Our focus will be on creating our own funny and fantasy art. Do you have what it takes to be the next Picasso?
Watercolor Works -
In this course, we will explore painting with watercolor. You’ll practice basic wet and dry techniques, washes, and blends. You’ll also begin to acquire skill in composition and color development. Come ready to roll up your sleeves and put on your smocks!
Junior Naturalists
Grossology -
Are you prepared to dive into the world of GROSS? Grossology is the study of really gross things. We’ll be discovering the good, the bad, and the ugly of how the human body works while making imitations of some of the gross things our bodies produce.
Marine Biology -
How does the ocean support life? What does the Atlanta Aquarium need to know to properly keep whale sharks? Embark on a virtual tour of aquatic creatures great and small. Work collaboratively and individually to explore and understand how the marine environment functions. This course will likely include a field trip to Sandy Hook, weather permitting, that will require each student to have a chaperone and transportation.
Natural Disasters -
Explore the violent beauty of the Earth by investigating the occurrence and human impact of natural disasters. What are the most extreme weather events in recorded history? Are there any active supervolcanoes? Why should we be concerned about the Canary Islands if we live along the East Coast? What is the difference between East Coast and West Coast earthquakes and why does it matter? Discover what we need to know to survive the deadliest natural events on our home planet.
Sustainable Cities -
Green architecture meets urban planning! Discover the latest methods for developing and maintaining a sustainable city. Investigate and choose the most sustainable features for your city from renewable energy to vertical farming. Students will be challenged to design and model their own sustainable city, review and critique each other’s creations to develop a class-wide model, and- as time allows- modify the design of existing cities.

Astronomy -
Blast off for an out-of-this-world tour of the solar system and beyond! On our journey we will visit stars, explore our planets, and investigate cutting-edge topics including life in other parts of the universe, black holes, and unusual galactic behavior. Amaze your friends and family with what you learn about our universe from this course.
Designing Alarm Circuits -
How do electrical circuits work? The lessons in this course will get you thinking and problem solving like an electrical engineer. We will be reading the book, A Reminder for Emily, about a girl living in the Australian outback who needs an alarm to remind her when it’s time for chores around the ranch. The hands-on activities in this course reinforce science concepts including conductors and insulators, schematic diagrams, and and circuits. For the final engineering design challenge, you will plan, create, and improve your own alarm circuit.
Marketing your Favorite Toy -
Toy marketing is serious business! Learn how to develop a marketing plan for your favorite toy. Apply business and mathematics skills to predict and track your favorite toy's sales. Develop a marketing strategy and advertising budget to maximize your toy's brand recognition and assist your classmates with their marketing plans. Collaborate to develop a new toy and its marketing plan.
Scratch Programming -
Coding has quickly become the newest "must-have" language for future professionals. Scratch is a programming language developed by researchers at MIT and designed to help children learn to program. Students will work collaboratively and individually to create interactive stories, animations, games, and/or music - all while learning the fundamentals of computer programming.
World Explorers
Knights, Dragons and Castles -
From the high sea adventures of the Vikings, to the forest of Sherwood, on to the battlefields of Europe with Richard the Lionheart, to the mythical Round Table of King Arthur, the Middle Ages provide us with the most interesting and fascinating people, places, legends, and events in history. In this course you will design castles to protect your kingdom, devise strategies to defeat dragons, and learn what medieval people ate, wore, and believed. Incredible stories of mystery, intrigue, romance, and adventure will come to life.
Voyage through the Ages -
If you think history is boring, think again! This new offering will investigate the most fascinating and thought-provoking events in human history. We will explore the fall of mighty Rome, the rise and impact of the Viking invasion, the Crusades, the Tudors, and the War of the Roses. We will take a look at the founding fathers, the incredible miracle of our victory in the Revolutionary War, the impact of the death of Lincoln and JFK, and the life of King Arthur and the pursuit of the infamous Holy Grail. Join us for an unforgettable journey through the pages of time.
World Explorers -
Do children around the world have to go to school? Do you know how other children your age spend their time? Using virtual means, we are going to travel across the continents to see how children your age (and adults) live, learn, work, and play. What continent and country would you like to explore?
WOW: Myths and Fairy Tales -
This course, like all of our WOW! Series courses, is structured as a workshop and offers an opportunity to study myths and fairytales. We will study myths and fairytales from around the world and help you understand the techniques and the art of lyric poetry. You will gain greater skill, insight, and enjoyment as readers, thinkers, writers, and publishers of your own (original!) myth or fairytale.
Half-Day options:
Chess and Strategy Games -
Do you daydream about planning things like epic battles or ginormous cities? Develop your critical thinking skills by learning how to plan and apply strategies for winning chess and other strategy games. Collaborate with your classmates to play group games and mentor each other to advance your individual skills. This course is designed for players with a wide range of experience.
Draw Me a Story -
Get your creative energy moving by illustrating your own storybook. In this class you will be expected to draw and write. Use cartoons or other types of illustrations to help write descriptive stories. Each student will produce and present a final illustrated story.
Arts and Recreation courses:
Badminton (All Grades) -
Badminton is an Olympic sport where players hone their skills serving, scoring, and positioning on court. We will learn the rules of the sport and practicing racket movements. This sport helps players increase stamina, agility, strength, and work on motor coordination. We will practice swings, learn about the different equipment, and learn different strategies of the game.
Contemporary Dance (Grades 7-12) -
That dance looks so easy! Do you have what it takes to dance like a star? We will be working on movement and learning the dance moves in current pop music. We will go through movement, focus on exaggeration, facial expressions, and learn how the pop-stars pull it all together! Come learn how to Tone Up, Get Fit, and Be Active. Pop dance is all about fun and enjoyment. This class will be fast paced, so be prepared to move!
Digital Photography (Grades 1-6) -
“Smile!” This course will explore the techniques necessary to successfully take professional-quality photographs. Students will work collaboratively and individually to design, shoot, modify, and critique photographs of a variety of subjects in different settings. Digital cameras will be provided, however students are encouraged to bring their own digital cameras and accessories.
Digital Commercial Production (Grades 5-6) -
“Quiet on the set!” It begins with a product followed by brainstorming ideas for selling a product. Storyboards are created, scripts are written, actors are cast, and well, you’ll have to take this course to find out how to and actually create a commercial. Come prepared to learn the ins and outtakes of commercial production.
Digital Media Production (Grades 7-12) -
How does a video go from idea to the latest BatDad Vine or Star Wars film? Explore how digital media is produced and distributed across different platforms. Work collaboratively and individually on digital media projects. Explore how digital content continues to change how society is informed and entertained.
Disc Olympics (Grades 1-6) -
Prepare for the ultimate showdown of disc sports! You will design and play some of the many games that involve discs: disc golf challenges, ultimate Frisbee, and other challenging games. During Disc Olympics, you will learn proper techniques for throwing, catching, and aiming discs. At the end of the three weeks we will have a day of challenges, tricks, and the ultimate Disc Olympics showdown!
Found Art (All Grades) -
Can a bicycle wheel placed on top of a kitchen stool or an artist’s bed -- complete with crumpled sheets, dirty tissues, and other objects be considered art? What masterpiece will you create (and what will the critics’ say)?
G & T Debate Team (Grades 7-12) -
Prove you have what it takes to craft and deliver polished responses as part of the Gifted & Talented Debate Team! Verbal communication mastery is a highly valued skill. Work collaboratively and individually to practice your written and verbal communication skills. From doctors and lawyers to parents and politicians, your debating skills will serve you well.
Painting Techniques (Grades 1-4) -
Painting can be rewarding, challenging, and fun! Join your fellow aspiring artists in learning painting techniques and forms of painting. As an artist, you will learn how to express your ideas through a powerful, visual language.
Soccer (All Grades) -
GOAL! Soccer is a staple in many countries around the world, testing players on their coordination, speed, strategy, and team play. The excitement and preparation for the World Cup alone puts people all over the world abuzz. We will be outside to practice techniques and strategies, skills and drills, and learn the rules of the game. This sport helps players increase coordination, agility, and endurance.
Strategy Game Design (All Grades) -
Design your own strategy game! This course will investigate the structure of existing strategy games from Chess to Othello to Risk. Students will be challenged to design, build, and develop and present a marketing strategy for a new strategy game. Students will play and review each other’s games.
Yoga (All Grades) -
The practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible. Learn about the history of yoga and how it originated and has changed over the years. In this class, you will learn yoga poses to tone the whole body, strengthen muscles, improve posture, and increase your energy. Play fun, interactive games that incorporate yoga poses.
Online Courses (Grades 4-8)
Python Programming Online -
No, this course has nothing to do with snakes! Python is an advanced, multi-paradigm programming language that tends to be more versatile than C++ or Java. Students will work collaboratively and individually to create their own animations, games, tools, or anything else they can think of in a fun and interactive environment. Students will gain insight into the mind of a computer programmer as well as a basis for further education in software development. This course includes one hour of online discussion per day, three times a week over the course of each 3 week session, so students will need Internet access to communicate via the Canvas learning management system.
Wild Weather Online -
Ever wonder how a thunderstorm can produce so much lightning? Do you enjoy measuring the snow whenever we have a winter storm? Then you will love the Wild Weather online course! We will be investigating how and why severe weather occurs with a focus on U.S. events. Students will be expected to record their own weather observations using common tools such as a plastic rain gauge and thermometer, and to regularly analyze maps, graphs, and charts of real, severe weather events. Successful students are those who enjoy finding patterns in data, who are observant and inquisitive, who are not afraid to actively contribute to scholarly discussions among peers, who have a strong command of written and verbal English, and who possess a sustained motivation to complete tasks on time. This course includes one hour of online discussion per day, three times a week over the course of each 3 week session, so students will need Internet access to communicate via the Canvas learning management system.
Grades 5-6
App Development -
Develop your own app! Students will explore how to develop an HTML5 app using Adobe PhoneGap. Investigate the logic and functions necessary to design and build your app. Students will be encouraged to create apps that either accomplish goals in other courses, i.e. Social Justice Statistics, or help to either educate the user about or directly solve a real-world problem. Students and their parents are responsible for posting the app for review and public release if they choose to do so.
Biomimicry -
How have we learned from nature to solve engineering problems? From Da Vinci's flying machine to nanomedicines, society has used the patterns, chemicals, and processes found in nature to help solve our problems. Work collaboratively and individually to explore and apply nature's solutions as our own.
Chemistry of Food -
Do you see your kitchen as your lab? Work collaboratively and individually to explore the chemical reactions necessary for us to enjoy our food. Discover at the molecular level what occurs when dough expands or a sauce thickens.
CSI Forensics -
We're crime scene investigators, please don't touch anything! How do we scientifically determine who has committed a crime? You will work collaboratively and individually to understand and apply methods of forensic science such as fingerprint and blood spatter analysis.
Environmental Management -
Learn how to lead a business or organization in applying sustainable practices that help both the environment and the bottom line. Work collaboratively and individually in this interdisciplinary course to explore best practices in sustainable production. Investigate the environmental management operations of large companies and organizations and analyze ways for them to save money by lessening their environmental impact.
Fantasy World Design -
Do you ever daydream about your own, entire world of fantastic adventures? Put that imagination to work by designing your own fantasy world! Students will investigate the design of popular fantasy worlds, develop their own, present their world to the class, and critique each other’s design. Develop the culture, history, geography, and climate of a “realistic” world with magical elements that rivals that of Middle-Earth.
G & T Magazine -
This class will provide you with the opportunity to hone your creative writing and journalism skills in a stimulating environment. You and your classmates will form the ultimate G&T Magazine under the direction of your Editor in Chief instructor. Experience the different roles of working on a magazine from research, writing, editing, and layout.
Java Programming Design -
Greenfoot is a software tool designed to teach beginners object-oriented programming using Java. Students will work collaboratively and individually to create their own animations, games, tools, or anything else they can think of in a fun and interactive environment. The integration between Greenfoot and Java is ideal for students to see immediately how Java code is translated into an end product on the screen. Students will gain insight into the mind of a computer programmer as well as a basis for further education in software development.
Let’s Play the Stock Market -
"Buy!" "Sell!" "Buy it back!" Using stock market simulation software, students will compete to create the best-performing virtual investment portfolio using stocks and mutual funds. The class will be taught with an emphasis on students using fundamental, top-down research and data analysis to understand economic, industry and operational factors that affect a stock’s performance. Students will work collaboratively and individually to explore how to earn interest on cash balances and create leveraged portfolios.
Mysteries, Conspiracies & Intrigues -
A course guaranteed to fascinate and challenge both history and mystery lovers alike. Subjects covered include the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, the explosion of the Hindenburg, the “death” of Beatle Paul McCartney, mysterious Stonehenge, the incredible conundrum of Princess Anastasia, the true meaning of the Wizard of Oz, the Bermuda Triangle, the presidential assassinations and so much more. In short, we will investigate the most fascinating and thought-provoking events of all time. Armed with film, historical artifacts, and a dash of speculation, this course promises to be an entertaining and unique opportunity to study, learn, and enjoy the pursuit of historical truth.
Paleontology -
Welcome to Jurassic Montclair! Students will work collaboratively and individually to explore how ancient life, a changing climate, and the earth’s geological history all joined forces to allow for dinosaurs to roam the Earth for millions of years. Investigate how we have been able to literally piece together the evolutionary timeline of dinosaurs great and small through a variety of challenging activities and projects.
RaPS: Robots as Problem Solvers -
Save the world with robots! This engineering applications course is designed to challenge students to choose a real-world problem to solve and use robots as the focus of the solution. Investigate the problem, then design, model, and build the solution using computer design software and available parts. Students will present their solutions, critique each other’s projects, and use the feedback to improve their solutions. Students will be encouraged to create solutions that also accomplish goals in other courses, i.e. Social Justice Statistics.
Renewable Energy -
Take renewable energy to the next level! We have all heard that wind and solar energy are renewable resources, but what other options exist, and how can we harness that energy to be available when and where we need it? Work collaboratively and individually to investigate waves and tides, bacteria, solar jackets, and other innovative methods for obtaining sustainable, affordable energy to power our lives.
Shark Tank: Marketing your Product -
You are the entrepreneur! Find a problem that you want to solve, or a want or need that you think should be served. Create your product or outline your service. Then develop a marketing plan for it and present it to a real panel of business experts. Learn the 4 P’s of marketing and how to pitch your product too.
Social Justice Statistics -
Save the world with statistics! This math applications course is designed to challenge students to choose a social issue and use data to improve or solve a real-world problem. Students will choose to access UN and other data to analyze for patterns, define the extent of the issue, investigate any trends that are revealed, and develop and present a solution based on available data. For example, a student choosing world hunger may see a pattern among girls under age 10 in Eastern Europe that reveals parents choosing to feed their sons over their daughters and develop an educational video to highlight, educate, and minimize this trend.

Have you ever dreamed of living in a treehouse - or even designing one of your own? During this course you will explore many amazing treehouses around the world. Learn the basics of architectural design, then work in the natural environment to engage in the design of your own private "retreat" in the trees.

WOW: Graphic Novels -
In this WOW!Series workshop, you will learn and use the narrative tools unique to graphic novels and the process of critically reading an image based novel. Graphic novels help break down stories into smaller parts entwining key elements with imagery. Special focus will be spent on the visual representation of complex emotions, the identification and use of literary devices, and classic three-act plot structure. You will be creating your own guidebooks for understanding the novels and plot in each story.
WOW: Mysteries & Science Fiction -
This course, like all of our WOW! Series courses, is structured as a workshop and offers an opportunity to study mysteries and science fiction. We will compare and contrast various authors’ use of writing techniques to help you understand how to write a mystery or work of science fiction. You will gain greater skill, insight, and enjoyment as readers, thinkers, writers, and publishers of your own (original!) mystery or science fiction short story.

Anatomy and Physiology -
Do you wonder how our organs work? Have you ever wanted to see a real, mammalian brain? Join us as we work collaboratively to investigate the organs and systems of the human body and what happens to us when things go wrong. You will learn all about bones, muscles and many other interesting anatomical features of the body. Note this course includes the dissection of mammalian organs.
Advanced Business Strategies -
Make strategic analysis skills your business! In this course, you'll learn the statistical analysis tools to analyze operational business strategies across time (competitive dynamics), industries (corporate strategy), geographies (international strategy), and institutions (non-market strategy). Students will analyze the success and failure of large companies by exploring how advanced economic ideas were applied to inform critical decisions. Groups and individuals will be challenged to design or improve their own business including the presentation and peer critique of their strategic management and marketing plans.
Aviation Science -
Learn about aviation history and the physics that makes modern flight possible. We will investigate aviation concepts, such as center-of-gravity, Bernoulli’s Principle, and Newton’s Laws, aviation occupations, and key historic individuals. Students will explore a variety of aircraft designs, including kites, hot air balloons, dirigibles, gliders, helicopters, planes, and rockets. This course is perfect for students new to aviation or those looking to build on their knowledge.
Biomimetics: Engineering in Nature -
Humans have looked at nature for answers to problems throughout our existence. Biomimetics is the study of engineering in nature. Nature has found ways to solve problems such as self-healing, environmental tolerance and resistance, as well as harnessing solar energy. We will be investigating and analyzing how systems in nature have been adapted to solving issues and problems in medicine, technology to make everyday life easier. You will plan for and design a prototype biomimetic device.
Child Psychology -
This course will focus on child development from birth through the middle years of childhood, including the impact of psychological and biological factors. Students will explore the developmental aspects of the child’s personality as well as their cognitive, social, and physical growth.
Einstein’s Astrophysics -
When you look up at the night sky, do you wish that you had an ultimate telescope that could visualize different types of particles? Embark on a deep dive worthy of Einstein and Hawking, an intergalactic exploration from how stars and galaxies function to the theory of relativity.. Discover how we have developed ways to observe the universe from telescopes to the Large Hadron Collider. Work collaboratively and individually to explore strange objects and analyze different types of processes. This course will encompass many advanced topics but will focus on particle physics and quantum mechanics.
Engineering Design Projects -
Your work matters! We challenge you to identify a real-life problem in your school, community, state or world, and then engineer real change! You will identify problems, brainstorm possible solutions, and use the engineering design process to plan, create, and improve your invention or innovation, and then present it to potential investors. Students will be encouraged to create solutions that also accomplish goals in other courses.

Going Viral: Epidemiology -
How have we, as a species, managed to endure and conquer disease over time? What worked, what didn't, and how has that affected our history? Work collaboratively and individually to determine the causes and explore the responses to the spread of disease from ancient plagues to the ongoing HIV pandemic.

Man vs. Earth: The Rise & Fall of Societies -
What do we need to know to succeed as a society? Explore the environmental factors that have led to the rise and fall of societies from Easter Island to Tikopia. This interdisciplinary course will simultaneously challenge your scientific investigation and historical research skills. Investigate how our current society may or may not have learned environmental lessons from the past that are necessary to sustain ourselves as a species for many generations to come. Students will be required to purchase “Collapse” by Jared Diamond as course reference material.

Nutrition Science -
Through real world analysis and creative challenges, this course will provide students with an in-depth study of nutrition science, nutrition education, food and nutrition issues, food regulations and compliance, and nutrition counseling. We will explore careers in nutrition and wellness, allied health services, education and research, food and nutrition administration, government agencies, hospitals, food industries, food production, food safety and regulations, and food and nutrition management.
Organic Chemistry -
Organic chemistry is the study of compounds containing carbon. Students considering a STEM career, especially in biomedicine, are encouraged to apply. Work collaboratively and individually to explore organic compound classifications, properties, and reactions. This course will serve as an excellent tour of a collegiate level organic chemistry course.
Publishing Online -
From storyline to byline, take on the role of an author and find out what it takes to get your name in print on the internet! Biographies, poetry, and short stories - you will have the opportunity to write and critique long- or short-form fiction or nonfiction works during this course. Students will be required to post their work on their own Wordpress account.
Raspberry Pi Projects -
Improve the world one hack at a time with projects that use a Raspberry Pi micro PC device for communication. Students will develop their programming and engineering design skills by working together in small groups to create economical, Do-It-Yourself solutions to increasingly complex situations. The final course project will be chosen by the student to present to the class for peer review. Students will be encouraged to create solutions that also accomplish goals in other courses, i.e. Advanced Business Strategies.
RaPS: Robots as Problem Solvers -
Save the world with robots! This engineering applications course is designed to challenge students to choose a real-world problem to solve and use robots as the focus of the solution. Investigate the problem, then design, model, and build the solution using computer design software and available parts. Students will present their solutions, critique each other’s projects, and use the feedback to improve their solutions. Students will be encouraged to create solutions that also accomplish goals in other courses, i.e. Advanced Business Strategies.
Roots of Human Behavior -
What makes the mind work? From motivation to emotion, this course will explore the roots of human action and interaction. Students will explore concepts such as nature vs. nurture and the basics of human psychology.
Sustainable Architectural Design -
Investigate designed spaces or places that contribute to creating a sense of community and fulfill needs while also leaving behind less of a carbon footprint. Can you build a structure that has the lowest carbon footprint possible, utilizing locally sourced materials and new technologies that decrease energy use? Learn about the development of sustainable architecture over the decades, LEED certification, design strategies and technologies focused on sustainable practices. Students will collaborate to design a structure that is based on these sustainable practices.
WOW: Blogs -
Many great writers have been inspired by experiences that tap into their ability to create original ideas. Blogging has become a medium through which one's thoughts are immediately made available to your audience. In this course, students will be writing blog posts in various genres while applying the components of creativity. Emphasis will be placed on developing writing strategies or creating ideas, infusing excitement in language usage and editing.

AP Environmental Science -
The goal of the AP Environmental Science course is to provide students with the
scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the
interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them. Note: this course does not include the administration of an AP exam. AP exams are administered each spring through the College Board. Online and onsite AP students will be required to purchase the appropriate course textbook for an additional fee.

The AP Psychology course is designed to introduce you to the systematic and
scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other
animals. The psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology will be presented.You will also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in their science and practice. Note: this course does not include the administration of an AP exam. AP exams are administered each spring through the College Board.
