-
Getting Started:
Go to http://appinventor.googlelabs.com
Create a Google account (or login to one you already have)
Computers in 602 and 603 are setup for App Inventor
Go to the Google App Inventor setup page
If you are not in 602 or 603, follow the instructions to setup AppInventor on your computer:
There are two primary steps ---
Install the latest version of Java
Run the App Inventor setup software on your computer
If you want to debug applications on an Android phone, you may need to setup the phone. Instructions are located on the App Inventor setup page
You don’t need an Android phone to debug most App Inventor programs. There is an emulator built into the development environment. However, if you do have an Android phone, you can debug directly on the phone.
-
To submit the project, send an email containing three items:
-
a barcode referencing the working application. (This can be created on the main App Inventor web page. Look for a “package for phone” drop down box.)
-
The app (saved as a file --- App Inventor can create the file)
-
A short description of the application and how to use it (in a Word document).
