Bringing Cost Effective Satellite Communications Technology
Wednesday, 18 January 2012, Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, Honolulu, Hawaii
Cellular subscribers continue to grow at astounding rates. The rollout of 4G networks is a reality. LTE deployments continue to increase. All are positive growth indicators, but may be straining infrastructure. Backhauling and trunking cellular traffic from remote sites has become a major challenge. Terrestrial capacity is often unavailable, unreliable, costly and note expandable. And to be competitive, the industry needs a method of cost-effectively expanding coverage. Satellite is the fastest method of restoring communications after a disaster. It is also the ideal type to provide additional capacity. The network will combine the ubiquitous reach of satellite with the speed of fiber to deliver satellite Internet services and mobile backhaul services to emerging markets.
This will discover a brand-new solution to reach the most effective satellite communications technology with experts from leading new satellite industry leaders. http://www.ptc.org/ptc12/
